"Absolutely stunning hotel which offers excellent value for money. Staff go above and beyond. The design is unique, and due to its location at the edge of the city centre, we found it easy to find free parking. The hotel offers a beautiful spa. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated and equipped with a safe and fridge. The hotel is also located some 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Reykjavik and there are some excellent restaurants and supermarkets nearby, as well an excellent bakery/ café in the same building. There location also offers eady access to bus stops, which are handy for both going in and out og town and to be picked up by organised tours. We had a great stay at Grandi and I would definitely come back. "

"The hotel staff were very friendly, and the room was comfortable. The shampoo and body wash were from L’Occitane, which smelled wonderful. They also provided free milk and juice. The hotel’s location was excellent, making it convenient to go anywhere."

"The hotel staff are very friendly and attend to guests needs quickly. The food is excellent and the chef produced excellent evening meals. Rooms are big and the bathroom had both bath and shower so you could soak out the cold after a day out. Hotel is just outside city centre but public transport is easy to use."

"We stayed here for 3 nights on our first visit to Iceland. The hotel was in an ideal location - only a 15 minute walk from the bus terminal, right on the Laugavegur street of shops and restaurants but in the quiet area, 5 minute walk to the water edge for some stunning views of mountains. Staff were friendly and helpful, easy check in, clean and spacious rooms with a hot shower and clean bathroom, decent hot and cold breakfast options from 7-10. We had an early check out on our last day and the staff provided an early coffee and croissants before 7:00 (you just need to mention this the evening before). We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would happily stay here again. "
