Superb detached villa, private pool with a solar cover, 200m2 sun terrace with sofa, two arm chairs. Brand new state of the art kitchen and beautiful bathroom with powerful waterfall shower. A swing chair/bed with drapes overlooks the pool on its own raised terrace area. Two outdoor dining areas, the one to the rear of the property which is a south facing sun trap overlooking the beautiful woods, the other is a covered terrace with built-in French BBQ with views of the surrounding countryside. There is a side lawn large enough for a game of badminton, a table tennis table, a herb garden where you can pick some fresh organic mint, thyme, sage, marjoram, bay or Melissa. We have a row of lavender and some beautiful plants that attract the wildlife. This hidden gem provides a very high standard of accommodation in one of the most sought after areas in the region. Boulangerie, pharmacy, take away, three great restaurants - very French, market stall selling local produce, public basket ball, picnic areas plus a beautiful river and streams to play in, which are all within a short walk. Set in total tranquillity, in a secluded valley yet only 2 miles from Ceret, a beautiful town with plenty of art history, bars and excellent restaurants. The property has been fully refurbished to a very high standard with every possible convenience, such as wifi internet access. The pool is closed from October - April, however, the sauna can be used during this period.

Lovely home, very comfortable and well equipped.
We had a lovely stay with great cycling and walking in what is a really beautiful area. Su gave us a vast amount of helpful information about the locality. Beds comfortable, modern kitchen, showers great, pool lovely and we enjoyed having plenty of space in the garage for bike storage etc. Boulangerie close by and Lidl also near. Isabelle the local manager dealt with any queries very efficiently.

Beautiful quiet spot
4 friends staying for a week in June. The property was spacious and gave us beautiful views over the mountains. Plenty of different outside spaces to dine, avoiding the sun. Thoughtful mosquito nets on all doors & windows which were so needed! The highlight for us was having access to the bikes in the garage as there's nothing very accessible within a short walk. Sadly all of the restaurants in the local village have closed down (except the boulangerie). The bikes meant that we could easily explore Ceret without needing to get in the car.

The house worked for us perfectly. It was fully equipped and very clean. Everyone loved the space and the privacy of the house and nearby amenities. The swimming pool was greatly enjoyed.

Wonderful holiday
The house was perfect for our family holiday, ages ranging from 11-89. Everything we needed was available and we wished we could have stayed longer. The location is ideal for those wanting to laze by the pool or for a whole host of adventures in the surrounding area.

A comfortable house that felt in need of attention
A comfortable house that felt in need of attention: biggest disappointment, arriving on a cold, wet, late September day was that the advertised sauna didn’t work; biggest safety concern was that the child’s high chair was broken; most surprising thing was that we got no response to our email for two days (we were there for just one week); least helpful advice was that we should go out and buy a high chair similar to the broken one (none of us were familiar with the area and we certainly didn’t want to spend precious holiday researching where we might find a replacement, even with the undertaking we would be reimbursed ). Solution to all this: to have someone local who could have liaised with an electrician for the sauna and sourced replacement items for any broken equipment (the guardian who managed the change-overs gave us the name of an online second-hand website when we let her know about the broken high chair!); that same person could have replaced the multiple blown light bulbs in the house, or at the very least provided spares, and found the missing keys which should have been in the key safe but weren’t; as it was, we needed four people to manhandle the pushchair with a sleeping baby in it over a high wall whenever we wanted a quiet time by the pool. We have all spent time camping or hosteling over the years and are used to improvising and making do, but this property was in a different price bracket and made a lot of very attractive promises which tempted us to book it. We didn’t feel it lived up to its own hype. However, the point of our holiday was to be together as a family and none of the disappointments and niggles over the property detracted from that.

Fabulous Family Holiday
We have just spent the most wonderful week in this fabulous Villa. It has plenty space outside and in and every thing has been thought of to make the holiday so comfortable. Loved the peaceful setting, the beautiful pool and choice of terraces to eat outside on. We loved the walks and the area in general. The information provided by Susan was just perfect to enhance the holiday. We managed to get our late teens, early 20s children all together and it was perfect giving enough space for everyone. The children joked there were as many terraces as there were on Love Island !! Thank you Russels for sharing your home with us.

Very comfortable house, 5 mins from Ceret, lots to do and see in the area.
This property was truly 5 star, even better than the photos. Lovely pool, with 6 luxury brand new sunloungers and cushions in addition to 4 rocking chair beds around the pool plus an additional wicker sofa, 2 armchairs and a coffee table. Two terraces to enjoy plenty of outdoor meals in the shade. An amazing TV with internet access, Netflix and a huge stock of DVDs. All the little extras to make a stay all that bit easier. Fully stocked cupboard with unopened bottles of olive oil, balsalmic vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee etc. A lovely welcome pack with cereal, milk, snacks and munchies. There was plenty to do in the area and a week not nearly enough to explore it all. Susan had a number of really good bikes for use and great local bike paths. Colliere definitely worth a visit. Would have loved to take a trip to the ski slopes and the thermal baths but will definitely have to go back to explore the region. Having said all of that it was difficult to leave the poolside and comfort of this really beautiful home!

Perfect trip, beautiful part of the world, wonderful weather, great house in a fantastic location.
It is unbelievable how uplifting it can be to take a break abroad in September. The weather was just perfect. Warm, sunny and bright. The air smelt fresh, the scenery was absolutely beautiful. We ate alfresco every day, the ambience was majestic. Alfresco dinning at night too. I didn't wear my coat or jumper.We saw beautiful sun sets, with crystal clear evenings and starry nights. We visited the Museum of Art and saw the amazing Dali exhibition. We hired electric bikes and cycled down to the coast one day, perfect, a beautiful lunch followed by a swim in the sea. One day we cycled up towards the mountain and visited a UNESCO site and again ate a beautiful lunch on the way. There is a segregated cycle path right on the door step that takes you from the mountains to the sea - oh la la, we had such fun whizzing down the mountain, we reached 52km! The house was a joy to come back to after our energetic trips out, it was luxury to have a long soak in a very comfortable Jacuzzi bath, then sit outside and see the stars appear, owls hooting, crickets, frogs and there was even a trace of wild boar activity in the garden! Every night we flopped into the extremely comfortable beds, then again, alfresco dinning on the terrace for breakfast, we were lucky enough to see a Golden Oriel fly right past us! The house was very clean, tidy and had everything we needed, plus it was in a great location, quiet, yet on the door step of Ceret, a sheltered sunny spot, right between the mountains and the sea. We will be back...We did actually do a few other amazing trips, but I won't go into detail! And, don't tell anyone, but we did watch the telly one night too - it was like being at the cinema but with the added bonus of slobbing on some very fluffy comfy sofas!

Disappointing
Villa had positives and negatives. Suspect owner originally put work in but has become blasé. Contact with us was all automatic with no personal contact even when we tried to get a response. Directions to villa are good. On arrival steep steps to door with no rail either side unsuitable for some travellers. We were just 2 couples and they'd obviously decided therefore we only needed 2 bedrooms - others weren't made up. Annoying as one couple preferred separate rooms but no linen (and no discount for smaller party!). Towels were a bit mean too e.g. one tea towel and no replacements in nearly 2 week stay. Decent sized lounge/diner and large TV but unfortunately (despite following instructions) no UK TV etc although we did eventually get Netflix by ignoring instructions. Kitchen minute with just one useable plug socket. Toaster only partly worked but lots of cutlery/china supplied and tabs for washing machine and dishwasher nice touch. Nice table/chair set just outside kitchen door but no outside lighting here limited use. There was a table tennis table too and this was supplied with not only bats but balls too. Smaller terrace/table to front where (when we replaced the 2 bulbs - no spares supplied) there was lighting. The advertised BBQ is in fact just a chimney - you won't get coals to burn on the flat concrete (no system for venting). The pool area is pleasant with extra supplies in the pool room. However don't spend ages looking for the much talked about pool keys (in instructions) as there don't appear to be any. Two gates, one was locked the other open. We did try to contact the local manager by email, about bedding/towels and TV. No reply although the day before we left we found a carrier bag of towels outside the front door. All in all, considering the price bracket, we were disappointed with the villa and especially lack of communication and would not consider a return.

Lots of space, fabulous outside areas, plenty of home comforts. Close to tourist spots.
We spent almost a month in this lovely home for a special occasion. Several groups of family and friends joined us for short breaks. The house was ideal for our needs. There was lots of space to spread out and the outside space was fantastic, especially the pool area. On the few occasions when the weather was less than perfect, the many games, books and TV stations kept us busy. Reynes is very close to some lovely tourist attractions, if you can drag yourselves away from the house. The kitchen was well- equipped for preparing meals and all the beds were comfortable. If you are looking for high spec equipment, marble surfaces, Egyptian cotton sheets and modern decoration, this may not be the place for you; but if you want a home-from- home, it's great! Great value for money! Susan was very accommodating and understanding.

Brilliant property in the best location in the region
We stayed in the property in July 2016 and I have to say that we were absolutely delighted. The property is of very high quality with the most amazing pool terrace and facilities. It is just the right distance from the pretty market town of Ceret. It is about a five minute drive - close enough to enjoy everything that is on offer but far enough away to be very tranquil. Just what we were looking for in our holiday. We also really enjoyed the visiting the coast - both the beaches and the beautiful seaside town of Collioure - both being an easy drive away The property and pool were immaculately clean and the owners and guardians were very helpful indeed. The main highlight is the pool and terraces which are large with plenty of loungers and 2 nice tables for al fresco dining. Both the region and the property were a real delight - highly recommended

Great setting and facilities
We all enjoyed our stay very much indeed. The kids loved the pool and is parents enjoyed the extremely quiet setting. For such a quiet position we found that we were never more than an hours drive away from all the attractions we visited including a day trip to Spain. We will certainly be returning.

Nice house. Not very large with basic furniture. The kitchen is small but well equipped and has all you need to cook / bake for a large group. All rooms have airconditioning. There are different outdoor areas you can use so always a spot in the shade or sun. We enjoyed our stay!

Disfrutamos de un fin de semana genial. Hubo una incidencia con el suministro de agua general y enseguida nos informaron de lo que pasaba y hasta nos trajeron agua. Muy atentos y amables. Una casa muy agradable con todos los servicios y detalles, con muchos espacios para estar juntos y también cada uno su privacidad. Cuando nos fuimos estaban instalando el Aire Acondicionado pero estuvimos muy bien de temperatura con ventanas abiertas. Era finales le junio. Para volver!

Grande maison parfaite pour notre groupe de 4 adultes et 4 ados. Tres confortable, extrêmement bien équipée, propreté irréprochable et tres bien située dans les hauteurs de la vallée du Tech Tranquillité, verdure, innombrables sentiers de randonnée, voie cyclable à proximité, ceret et son musée tout près. Had a great stay in this house. Magnificent and beautiful environment. Nice pool. New kitchen. The furniture (beds and couches) are old and need to be replaced. Mosquito nets on all windows, which is nice. We had a really nice stay here.

Maison bien équipée au calme !
Nous avons passé quelques jours fin décembre jusqu’au 2 janvier et avons apprécié les équipements, le feu dans la cheminée à notre arrivée, les lits faits… très paisible, on se sent bien dans la cuisine comme dans toute la maison. Aux beaux jours la piscine, le sauna et les espaces extérieurs sont certainement très agréables. À recommander !
