Nested in between 2 valleys is this abundant log cabin next to a stream. Enjoy privacy and scenic wilderness views. Hike, bike (rentals available), sledding (sleds available), snow shoe (2 sets available), cross country ski, fire pit all on the property. Nearby: WI river, ATV road usage, fishing, tubing, canoeing, water sports 10 min away. trout fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, wine tasting tours, historic towns and sights. The 2150 square foot home boasts a fireplace enhanced by a 2 story rock faced chimney, an expansive wrap-around porch, a master suite, and a generous great room. The acreage is mostly wooded with about 8 acres open.

Return Visit
My brother & I enjoyed our stay last year so much we decided on a return visit for our get together this year. We really enjoy the quiet, country setting, taking in the property views while relaxing on the deck and spending time at the fire pit in the evenings. This is a well appointed home with all the ammenities and features we like. It's close to town and there are a variety of walking trails close by to explore. A great place to stay for a getaway to the Driftless Area.

A wonderful Wisco retreat
My group had a fantastic stay at the Driftless Escape. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, and updated with modern amenities while feeling rustic and cozy. Dan was a helpful host and a thorough communicator which made check in and check out a breeze. Bonus points because he’s a music lover. We truly can’t say enough good things about this space- hope to be back again someday soon!

Dan was a great host and answered any and all questions. Beautiful log home, with everything you need for a great stay. Everyone enjoyed hiking around the property, having a nice outdoor fire by the creek. Kids loved the movie theater (great room) and to see all the chickens. We will definitely be booking again. Great Winter Weekend!
We had a great weekend at the cabin this winter. It’s a great place for hiking and sledding, and we spent a great deal of time outside, even had a fire in the fire pit so the kids could roast hotdogs for lunch after building snow forts in the valley across the stream. The cabin had everything we needed and was just as beautiful as the pictures. Very clean and plenty of space. Dan was communicative and answered all my questions before we got there. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful porch!
Enjoy a private relaxing stay with family including our dog. Loved the deck/porch for relaxing and watching the night sky. Would be fun to come back in the winter and enjoy your own private sledding hill just steps from the front door! Beautiful firplace would be nice to warm up by. Enjoyed that there was plenty of space for everyone and the greatroom was wonderful for everyone to enjoy a movie or a game.

My husband and I and our dog returned for a second visit. Still peaceful and quiet, with many spring birds passing through and nesting along the creek. We had some campfires, saw a deer, and took the dog exploring everywhere. Clean and comfortable. Hopefully we will get back for a third visit.

Great Place, Quiet, Clean, Relaxing!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Property is well kept and clean! Kitchen was stocked well enough for our use and plenty of comfy seating! It was a bit too hot to spend much time outdoors during our stay but we did see some deer passing through the field one morning. No complaints! Couple recommendations for future travelers, bring extra bath towels & wash clothes as well as extra paper towel & toilet paper, For anything else you may need, there is a Walmart just 10 minutes down the road and several excellent restaurants nearby.

Perfect Cabin in the Woods Getaway
What a truly amazing cabin in the woods. From the relaxing setting, to the comfort of the amenities of the cabin, this truly was one perfect getaway. The fireplace adds adds a cozy touch. The kitchen was spacious and easy to cook in. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were very comfy. Best sleep we've had in a long time. Location is secluded where you can sit on the massive wrap around deck and relax in peace and quiet. This will definitely become one of our go to relaxation spots!

Springtime getaway
Busy busy busy --Outdoors: exploring the lush green property with our dog, discovering native spring plants, watching a frog swim in the bubbling creek, identifying 10 species of birds, nerf football on the front lawn, a bright bonfire at night and evening fishing in the Pine River. Indoors: card games and reading, listening to music, preparing fun meals and desserts, conversation and relaxation! The weekend went way too quickly as usual.
