"A wonderful property and lovely hosts. Elizabeth and Jean-Christian went out of their way to welcome us. A great selection of maps and tourist information on hand for your days out. The village itself (a very short walk) is tranquil with basic amenities - Bakery, farm shop, bar, restaurant and pharmacy. The house is cosy and very well equipped for your stay. We would heartily recommend to other families. We expect we will visit again!"

"The private heated indoor pool was a real highlight for us. The host was friendly and welcoming and communication was good. The property is well-equipped and in a good location. There is a cycle path nearby that takes you into the local town. There’s a choice of local supermarkets, a McDonald’s, a park with mini golf etc. Dieppe is a nice seaside town about 45 minutes drive away, there’s a good theme park about 30 minutes away, the labyrinth maze about 10 mins away and wildlife parks etc too....

However, it's easy to forgive this given obvious age and charm of the building and its lovely location. "Our family of three and border collie stayed here for a week and had a really successful and pleasant time. The gite was clean and had an exceptionally well equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfy, and the garden was secure for our dog and big enough to play endless catch with the ball! The property was not overlooked and we spent a very peaceful week here and had beautiful weather. "

But there's an interesting duality to this place: you've got the Ibis side and the Mercure side. I never ventured over to the Mercure part, but it seemed to attract a lively professional crowd as well as some older guests. I wouldn't be surprised if that was their main bread and butter. Meanwhile, the Ibis side—where we stayed—had this trendy ghost town vibe....
