It is in a good location for the site seeing sites, yet away from them, staff are super friendly and helpful. Place is very clean and organized Will definitely stay there again once in Rome

Negatives: The rating on Expedia was Wonderful/Excellent. I would not say that based on our room. I’d say our room was maybe a FAIR at the highest. Our room was like a Motel 6 in the states. It was dark, gloomy, and in other building in the back of main hotel. We had no kettle until we asked for one. The AC was not consistent, had to get up to adjust in the middle of the night several time, but it did have a remote control. The bathroom shower flooded the bathroom so we used our towels to clean water up each time or spray to shower nozzle toward the opposite wall. For $260 a night, I felt it was not worth it compared to other hotels we could have stayed, but I went by the pictures and reviews. Maybe we just got an ugly bad room, maybe there are nicer rooms in the hotel. We did get clean towels each day, but bring your own soap & shampoo/conditioner. They only gave body liquid soap & 2 tiny bars of soap. Positives: The staff was wonderful, especially Lorenzo. He was helpful with restaurants.The location is great, but we like to walk. Don’t waste money on the train, as it doesn’t go to entire city. Be careful, I was picked pocketed on the express train back to the airport when leaving. Take a CAB instead!

This is a beautiful small hotel. We loved the location, easy to walk to sites, cafes and shops. Carmen was a wonderful host and sent several great resturant recommendations. Our room was on the street side and it was noisy, but city noise is part of staying in the city. Make sure to check out the quaint courtyard on location. Clean and comfortable.

Staff was so helpful, called the taxi for us, directions/recommendations etc. the room had an amazing AC and the bathroom was so “Rome”. Nice atrium and balcony, quiet and felt safe. Only negative the bed and pillows were Firm. But slept just fine because we were out running around all day. Nice hotel

We loved our stay at Hotel Artorius. It was in a great location and the staff was excellent and responsive. The AC worked but it never reached the set temperature so the room was hotter than we would’ve liked.

We liked that this property was conveniently located in the heart of historic Rome. It was an easy walking distance to the Metro, connecting us to the airport, train station, and historic sites. The Colosseum was an 8 minute walk, and there was a vast selection of local (non-tourist trap) restaurants and boutique bars only minutes from the hotel. The staff were friendly, and service orientated, and the hotel was charming. The room was super clean, and kept so by the staff; however, it was a bit dated, and certainly well-enjoyed by many guests. I think in real estate they call this “pride of ownership.” We would totally stay here again. It was comfortable, safe, walkable, and had excellent value for money.
