"One of Portofino’s finest hotels. Our private, luxurious, high-ceiling, large room with a balcony overlooking the sea was a total treat. A fairy tale. A short stroll to the bay of Portofino where all the action is on the waterfront. The staff were so friendly and kind, they really took great care of us. We hope to return one summer to take advantage of the hotels own private beach. "

"It was great to stay in a historic old home. It was totally comfortable and though I would be considered elderly I don’t come to Italy expecting not to have to climb stairs or do a lot of walking. "Fantastic. Great hotel, professional staff, great location. Just be really careful if you need to park. If you miss the gate it's a 8-minute drive back. The only drawback was the heat in the room (winter). It was very hot. The desk turned the heat off remotely for us but it was still 82+ in there so we had to leave the door open (40's outside) to sleep."
