"We had a lovely time by the lake. The house was lovely: clean, bright and comfortable, with attention to detail, and hosts very welcoming. Surrounded by nature, we loved the silence - you hear nothing but the lapping of the water! The weather was good so we were able to paddleboard and swim a couple of times, and spent a day relaxing by the water. The supermarket and hourly ferry to and from Stockholm (50 minute journey) within 5 minutes by car. A lovely stay!"

"Our time on Gistholmen was FANTASTIC! However, it started with the hiccup of the VRBO description being on the wrong island (it is NOT on Ingmarsö Södra, an 8 minute walk from the ferry dock as the description is or at least was, hopefully that gets updated!). It is on Gistholmen that you need to take the Waxholmsbolaget ferry to (no need to book ahead, but depending on the day and season there might only be two potential drop-off and pick-up times).
