"A good base to stay for a few nights whilst visiting the area. Regretfully no breakfast was available - the local Tesco has a café and the Alexander Bain Pub in the centre of Wick both have breakfast menus, with the latter doing cheap but good pub grub in the evening. Clean sheets and towels were provided and the (single) room itself had an en suite with shower, a kettle and TV. The room was lockable with its own key. "The hotel appearance is consistent with the rest of the city. Wick is a bit dirty and industrial. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and food at the hotel was very good. We traveled to Wick for the coastline long hikes and that did not disappoint. The hikes were amazing and worth the effort to travel this far north."

"Homely stay. Lovely friendly hosts, very attentive and welcoming. Nice comfy bed, initially disappointed with not having an en suit but the bathroom just over the hallway wasn’t an issue. The breakfast was delicious. "

"We actually got moved to the Norseman Hotel as We felt the approach to the property was not the best as loads of pot holes in the road. The property looked like it had been a nursing home, it needed some landscaping outside we felt the security was not good as the main door which was not signposted was open and the room that we were given was unlocked and the door looked like it had had a letter box which was boarded up. The room was clean and tidy but it looked as if nobody was there to help as...

"Literally in the middle of nowhere but if you like that sort of thing this is the place to be. We loved it for a few nights. House was great, road to get there was not but we have 4 wheel drive and our kids thought it was hilarious."
