When we arrived we was told by Louis that he had problems with his kitchen so unsure whether we was going to have any food, but a little while later he managed to magically get two lovely meals together which were delicious.very friendly and welcoming.
I stayed at The Bell for two nights in August 2022, traveling solo. I cannot say enough good things about the staff--Louis, Jake, and Sarah and Jess. Nor can I leave out Bertie, the cocker spaniel who is friendly, obedient and beautiful. There was nothing I wanted that wasn't immediately provided. Unfortunately I did not have a car with me, but Louis insisted on driving me where I wanted to go. I was and am so grateful that I found The Bell at Iden and am sending warm hugs to each of the so friendly staff. I won't forget you.
We had a very good experience staying here. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food and the hotel is in a beautiful location. Would highly recommend.
Had a great stay at the Bell inn. Food was great. We had a problem with our dog and the owner was great helping us find a vet at 8am. Couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely go back if we are passing again

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Accommodation was a little dated and needs some modernisation. More shelves in the bathroom would give room for toiletries. Broken light bulbs should be replaced.
External lighting would help to find the rooms at night.
Right from the off we were treated really well - we got to The Bell a little bit late but that was okay - they still made sure we had something to eat and stayed on to do so.
Throughout our stay we came across really pleasant and friendly staff - both in the bar area and dining area and we had all mod cons in the room - including a little fridge. Bed was really comfy and the room with spacious with a lovely shower. Absolutely no doubt would return.
Very good breakfast and the one dinner we had was very good.
Dislike, food not served on Sunday evening or Tuesdays and bar shuts early Sunday night.
The landlady was very good.
Spacious, light & airy room with all we needed for a few days escape to this beautiful village. Fridge was an extra bonus & we appreciated sharing outdoor seating with pub guests. Plentiful supply of tea, coffee & milk. A great stay with tasty home cooking from the pub next door.
