"Blaine and Stephanie’s home on the lake is just beautiful ! We enjoyed our short stay with family for three nights. House had all the needed utensils and amenities where you didn’t feel like you needed to leave. Although the town is a short tuk tuk ride up the hill and has some cute bakeries and places to eat. Overall a great stay and they help organize excursions and rides too ! Elisio was fantastic host"

"Only there for a night. The host/manager could have done a better job explaining how to get there, instead of simply suggesting to use Waze maps! Also, they are building a new house at the bottom of the property, so it's a little dangerous having to walk thru a construction site to get to the beach down below. "Do not book here. Literally no customer service. Signs are not clear on where the hotel is. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds ever. You’re better off sleeping in a hostel for cheaper. "The house is really nice. Situated perfectly on a tranquil property with it's own dock. We arranged a private boat that took us away for the day to 3 cities, it was just perfect. Gorgeous stay on Lake Atitlan

"Our room the master suite was absolutely stunning. Particularly enjoyed the amazing balcony with stunning views and the very large bathroom with the rain shower and tub. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, my friend got severe food poisoning when we were out in San Pedro (recommend eating in Santa Cruz and San Marcos - don't eat in the backpacker town San Pedro). Even though it was evening and all the clinics in San Marcos were closed, one of the hotel staff member called one of their family members who was a physcian in town to open the clinic so my friend could get IV antiemetics and IV fluids. He also arrange transport to escort us there. I cannot thank the hotel staff enough for their assistance with helping my ill friend!! Would definitely stay again!!"

"For our 1st anniversary we wanted to visit the beautiful Lake Atitlan in Guatemala & this hotel made this adventure feel over the top luxurious. While the hotel & views are hard to beat, the hotel team that worked every day to give us moments of delight throughout our stay, were the true unique component of this stay. From an easel/paint/canvas waiting for us in our room to paint the beautiful views, to the turn down service with a unique gift each time, but more than that was the friendly and helpful nature of all of the staff was incredible. They arranged a private boat driver for us to go to San Juan & San Marcos. It was definitely worth the elevated price to not be on a tight schedule & get to explore as much as we wanted & leave as soon as we wanted to make the most of our day. Skip going to San Marcos but DEFINITELY visit San Juan!! We also walked from Hotel Casa Palopo to the town of Santa Caterina which allowed us to explore the everyday lifestyle of the community. We also recommend going up to the infinity pool at Hotel Casa Palopo for the days you just want to relax & for sunsets! We did the traditional route of ground van transportation lined up by Hotel Casa Palopo, but when we learned about the hotel having two helipads, we found GuataFlights and HIGHLY recommend them for a much faster transportation to Antigua (10 min) or the GUA airport (25 min). Make sure to eat and lakeside restaurant, Kinnik. The BEST! Can't tell - I recommend you stay here. We will be back."
