Couldn't fault the hotel, considering the building is 150 years old it was in great condition, very well looked after, everywhere was clean and tidy. It was -1 outside but the whole hotel was lovely and warm, very relaxing. The staff were all nice and very helpful, the food and the dining room were great. The only thing that let it down was the parking outside, not enough spaces.

We had a Spa bath that didnt work. We also had several disturbances nearby the room until 130 am with doors banging and loud conversations outside the room. Not providng extra pillows was surprising. Also only had one bath towel for two of us However , on a positive note we managed to unwind a bit after driving from Northumberland from a wedding . This was the primary reason for booking. Location is excellent with bay views to the side. Room was very warm, a bonus in wintry conditions . Staff very pleasant overall
