"A decent place to stay! The room was fine, if a little cold, but the additional heater warmed it up well. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and I had a lovely pint in the bar. Coniston is well worth a visit and The Sun is definitely worth staying at."

"First visit, easy to find with drive on A591. Good parking. Magical setting with access to lakeside walk from gardens. Silence and darkness over Thirlemere at night, stars beautiful. Feels like staying over at home of friends in traditional not overdeveloped property. Breakfast piping hot. Will be visiting again."

"We had a wonderful stay at 1 Park Road in September, having stayed here now for many years. Hilton is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is beautiful with allergens catered for with prior notice. Such a relaxing time in the lovely bright dining room. The room is lovely, very stylish and with a very comfortable king size bed. Bathroom and tea making facilities are great too.
