The Space:

The property has been designed for your comfort. The guests have access to two separate suites.
-The upstairs suite has a separate bedroom with a king-size bed and bay window overlooking a second growth cedar tree. There is 4-piece bathroom down the hall from the bedroom. On rainy days, you can relax on the sleeper couch (pullout double bed with a memory foam cover behind the couch) and browse Netflix, Prime, Disney etc. The full kitchen and eating area turn the upstairs into the main area for cozy hangouts. The open-concept dining area upstairs features a solid mango wood table, and a fully equipped kitchen with a maple island. The upstairs living room opens to the exterior patio. The large porch includes a glass dining table with enough seating for four guests and a Weber BBQ.

-The basement suite is bachelor style, with a 3rd and 4th bed. One is a queen-size bed, and the other is a pullout couch.

-Both suites each have a large foldable matt which are comfortable for crashing on the floor. The basement has another kitchen and dining area, and a second 4-piece bathroom (with adjoining laundry).

-The spa is in the backyard. A large fir-framed pergola covers an outdoor 6-person hot tub. There is a lounge area and heated outdoor shower under cover as well. Off the spacious deck beneath the pergola, you’ll find out newly built dry sauna and cold plunge cedar tub.

-The full spa circuit is an ideal way to spend an entire morning or afternoon relaxing in a rhythm of hot and cold/ wet and dry, therapy. Good for the body, heart and soul.

Guest Access:

Guests are welcome to the entire indoor and outdoor space. Please avoid the car shed and green tent at the back of the property, as these are just utility spaces. Guests should also stay off the main driveway as this is my neighbor’s property with a driveway easement.

Guests can help themselves to consumables such as available laundry pods, dishwashing pods, miscellaneous soaps, available condiments etc.

There are green towels available for outside use in the spa area, while the white towels in the bathrooms should be left in the house.

Please only use the black metal cups outside. Glass should not be use in the spa area.

Please check fire restrictions. Provided there are none, guest can find kindling, cardboard and wood for burning in the firepit.

During your stay no outside guests are allowed on the property beyond those in included in the booking guest number. The property is only to be accessed by the renting parties. The spa is limited to 6 guests at any time. This is to ensure spa cleanliness and to control for noise. If these rules are broken Airbnb is authorized to charge the renting guest $75/visitor/day in addition to the number of guests on the rental agreement.

The property is not isolated, and loud groups disrupt the neighborhood. It is very important that guests avoid disrupting the local community by limiting noise outside of the house, and around the spa and limiting activity on the shared driveway.

Please park on the concrete pad beside the house, and the gravel opposite the car shed. Two cars per group is the maximum. Extra cars must be left offsite.

Other Details:

This retreat is a centrally located along the Sunshine Coast highway. The house is quaint, comfortable, and well-designed for families or small groups looking for a place to rest in between days exploring the Sunshine Coast and relaxing in the Scandinavian Spa built for our climate.

Nearby Food and Drink:

500 meters East of the property is a Canadian Tire, IGA, Strait Coffee, Liquor Store, Pharmacy, Pizzeria and Dispensary. 800 meters North is Pier 17 coffee and diner, the Wobbly Canoe restaurant, and the Porch restaurant

You'll find a denser concentration of marketplaces restaurants and other amenities in Sechelt, about 8 minutes by car West down the road.

Other restaurants of note in the Area include;
-The Old Boot Eatery in Sechelt (10 mins),
-Shift Kitchen Tapas Bar in Sechelt (10 mins),
-Twenty two Tap House in Sechelt (10 mins),
-The Gumboot Restaurant or Cafe back in Roberts Creek (10 mins)

Davis bay beach is no more than a 3-minute walk. Enjoy sunsets and fires on the beach.

Neighborhood:

Our property is right off the Sunshine Coast highway, and the highway can be very active so expect to hear some noise. The driveway accessing the house is shared with my neighbor.

The area is called Wilson Creek, and it is directly South of Davis Bay, which boasts a roadside rocky beach, and Chapman Creek Estuary that exposes a sandy beach at low tide, an optimal place for sunsets, beach fires and wildlife. Davis Bay is the longest stretch of shoreline access from the road that you'll find on the Sunshine Coast and is within 5 minutes of the property. The property is also not far from walking trails, golf courses and the communities of Gibsons, Roberts Creek and Sechelt, and not too far from the more rugged outdoor appeal of Halfmoon Bay, Smugglers Cove and Madeira Park. Enjoy paddle boarding or kayaking in the ocean, or swimming at one of the numerous warm inland lakes. The Sunshine Coast has it all.

Getting Around:

Whether you arrive by car or transit, our place is very easy to get to from the ferry. Only 20 minutes from Langdale ferry by car. There is a bus stop right outside the cabin, and parking enough for two cars.

Please park on the concrete pad beside the house, and the gravel opposite the car shed. Two cars per group is the maximum. Extra cars must be left offsite.

Directions:

The driveway is a right-hand turn off the Sunshine Coast highway traveling from Gibsons to Sechelt (North). Keep an eye out for the driveway 8 seconds past the Canadian Tire.

At night is can be hard to see, however there is a flashing light in the middle of the highway signaling a turning lane which marks the right-hand turn (eg. be ready to turn right at that flashing light.

There is also a long blue flag marking the driveway. The driveway enters the property beneath a large cedar hedge, and between a large cedar fence.

The house is blue with cedar shakes, and it is the first house on the left as you enter the driveway crossing the stone pillars.

Enjoyed our mini vacation in Sechelt
We enjoyed the accommodations and appreciated the individual unit per couple. The unit could use a deep cleaning, especially in the bathrooms and we struggled with the tap in the kitchen and eventually couldn’t get any water. The kitchen was extremely well outfitted and the outdoor patio and spa area was lovely.

Quality and superb comfort down to every detail. Perfect for our family holiday - thank you!
This was our first VRBO experience and every member of our family (from my 2 years old to my 75 years old mom) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Brendan’s cottage housed our entire family (grandkids to grandparents) for 4 nights. All under one roof but with the right amount of separation we were able to enjoy quality meals together, take breaks in between our days, relax outside on the patio and rest comfortably on our own without disturbing anyone else. It had the comfort of a cozy home and quality finishes of a 5 star hotel. I chose this based on previous reviews and they all held up. We were all constantly in awe of how luxurious and brand new the place felt and looked as well as all of the effort made into the finite details. An excellent set up space made for a quality family fun holiday. Brendan thought of everything. It’s all there. He was also readily accessible if needed as well. Perfectly located and central to so many sights. Loved being able to take walks in different directions and runs on the Davis Bay boardwalk each morning. The only thing that can be improved is the hedges at the end of the driveway. Need to be extra careful when turning out onto the highway as it’s so close by. Other than that, it was perfect - thank you.

Great place, great location, awesome owner!
Us two families stayed at Branden's place, the kids enjoyed so much in the yard while parents preparing for dinner. Cute little place is well-equipped with everything we need. Not to mention, the booking process and owner respond time is SUPER! We all walked to Davis Bay one day after dinner to watch the sunset, it was magical. (only 10 min walk) Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation near Sechelt.

Highly recommend, spotless, convenient House
Brandon is an incredible host. The house is well appointed, spotless with high end finishes, and has an amazing location. We loved the linens, beach wagon, pillows, stocked kitchen, yard, and little touches throughout. Check in was a breeze and B was very communicative and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

Great cabin, great location
Branden's property was really easy to find, and fit us really well. He was easy to reach and instructions were clear. Location is great, close to supermarket, liquor store, cafes, brunch spots, and restaurants. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Sechelt area.

Great!
Although we never met Branden in person, he was as a delight to work with from beginning to end. He was quick to respond, accommodating and professional. His place was amazing! Modern, new, clean and had everything we could need. We were on the Sunshine Coast for a wedding so did not spend a lot of time at the place, but when we did we thoroughly enjoyed it. Beds were comfortable, lots of room outside on the private deck and a very modern kitchen with all the nick-Nacks. Very convenient location to get anywhere it was just a bit noisy because you are about 20 feet from the hwy. move this little gem to a quieter location and I would give it 6 out of 5 stars.

UNFORGETTABLE FIRST TIME TRIP TO THE SUNSHINE COAST
Branden's posting is what we would call a diamond in the rough. So low key that you may probably swipe by it when looking for a place to stay in the Sunshine Coast. But, now that it's got some reviews; it will be no surprise that it will be a sought out. His response time is very quick and offered lots of tips on places to go and even to his "secret" spot called Klein Lake. His place has the amenities, cleanliness, accessibility that a family is looking for. The place is new, spotless and deceivingly cozy. Branden has thought of everything from parking to entertainment with the Apple TV features. Clean, name brand sheets, cool appliances, and a good size BBQ Grill. You just know that he is organized and takes care of his stuff. The place is close to everything. IGA, the beach, Canadian Tire, the beach, Wobbly Canoe, oh and the beach. If you have kids, hike along the creek and visit the hatchery where they can fish trout for $5 and have it for supper. It truly was a great and ultra comfortable experience for a first time visit to the Coast.

Beautiful home in a great location on the Sunshine Coast.
We loved our stay in this gorgeously styled home. The kitchens were very well stocked so we could make our meals at home, there were plenty of cleaning supplies, towels, and bedding. Downstairs is a study and upstairs is a one bedroom suite. Both levels had pull out beds. The area is beautiful and we spent our days at the river and beach. Brandon was a great host! He was always easy to get in touch with, responded quickly, and saw to it that all of our needs were met. There is another house on the property which was busy with many cars coming and going and the driveway is tricky to see and tricky to pull out of because of a huge hedge. The hedge did create a nice privacy for the house though! It was a great weekend and I would highly recommend this place!
