"I had a really bad experience with another hotel so booked into here instead. The ladies on check in were amazing and so kind. When I told them what had happened to me they upgraded my room to a suite, I cant thank them enough. The room was amazing and so comfortable, all the staff were really helpful and friendly. The bar and restaurant were great as was the food they served. I have a lot of work around Durham area and will be using this hotel from now one."

"Stayed in the courtyard area, had lovely views over the fields at the back. The room itself was a good size, comfortable bed and storage facilities were all of a good standard, just the bathroom needed a little updating as a bit tired. The breakfast was very good (perfect poached eggs) also had our dinner there a couple of times and the food again was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just 3 miles from Durham City Centre and surrounded by some stunning scenery . Would definitely stay here again if we were venturing up that way."

"Nice hotel with spacious standard room. Bed is large. Rooms are clean. Facilities are good. Only (minor) point was I wish the shower/bath could be sightly hotter. Friendly staff. Have visited this hotel twice now."

"It was close to where we wanted to visit. Could use the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. The cafe/resturant on site catered for my gluten intolerance. Staff were lovely."
