"I had a great stay at The Parkgate Hotel! The property itself was really cool (the architecture, general vibe, etc.) and the continental breakfast was delicious. My room was clean and comfortable, with nice amenities. In addition, the surrounding area was really convenient for sightseeing and walking through downtown Cardiff."

"The Cardiff Marriott hotel is a lovely hotel in a great position and with a secure car park. It also has an onsite restaurant, which served a delicious breakfast. However, the price of the drinks shocked us as we were charged £14 for one glass of white wine! The room was good although exceptionally warm with a very loud fan, which we couldn’t leave on during the night due to the noise from it. We could also have done with some more shelves to put clothes, toiletries, etc on. And final slight...

"The staff were very friendly, breakfast was really nice and plenty of variety. We were a bit disappointed though we came back to the hotel for a drink in the bar,i went upstairs to change my shoe's my husband phoned me and said fetch the card down he tried to pay for drinks with cash and was told it was card payment only,I don't think that is fair I think it should be both options, my husband doesn't carry his card so if i hadn't been there i don't know what would have happened. "

"Nice stay. Spa being renovated but not told in advance. Longers in spa need updating and water was cold in showers. Food was ok depending on what you had in bar. Pie and mash was disappointing. Not home cooked. Could have been from the Cardiff chip shop. Rooms lovely spacious and clean. Mattresses quite lumpy "

"Room was big, but cold. Bed was huge and comfortable. Nice coffee machine, but not enough coffee pods or milk. Nice hot shower. A bit noisy room with hearing the traffic. Paid over £100 for 1 night, would have expected parking to be free. Menu very limited, not a lot of variety to choose and very expensive. Food was cold on delivery to the room and missed items. Cooked breakfast was cold and not a lot of tables set up. Coffee machine wasn’t working at breakfast. I had to ask to have this...

"This is a great country pub. The property is beautiful and the room and bathroom was absolutely spotless. We had a great evening meal and breakfast the following morning. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if ever we are in the area."

"Amazing place and pub/overnight stay. This is a little gem and the owners and staff should be proud of the great pub and guest rooms they run. The locals are friendly and nice, and this pub is at the heart of the community as it should be. Anyone who wants fantastic food, great staff and company needing a room or meal within 20 miles of this place should divert there. I cannot commend this establishment enough. I travel all over the UK with my job, and this is by fsr my favourite place to stay...
