Fantastic view from beachfront balcony

Welcome to Texas tropical paradise.
This nicely redecorated 2nd floor 1BR 1 bath condo with a beachfront balcony is a perfect place to relax and enjoy your time at South Padre. From the balcony you feel like you are sitting right on the beach. We have high speed WIFI, a 50" TV & Blu-ray for you to watch your movies, Netflix & Spectrum cable with Showtime. A queen sofa sleeper and a full roll away hidden in a cabinet in the living area will each sleep two comfortably. The kitchen is supplied with all the things you need to prepare meals during your stay. You'll sleep well on the new king bed with comfy cotton sheets. There is a 40" TV & DVD in the bedroom. The condo is stocked with lots of towels and even beach towels.
To help you pack light we furnish beach chairs, a beach umbrella, boogie boards and a small ice chest to take to the beach. We want you to have everything to enjoy your SPI beach vacation! The beach is a short walk through the pool area and across the boardwalk. We have a shower station for you upon your return from the beach. You can rinse off, rinse off your beach equipment and have it ready to go for your next beach day.
We are located toward the north part of the island between Clayton's and Wanna Wanna. Walking distance to many places but away from the noise and crowds.
The island has a free Metro bus that picks up right in front of the building and runs until 9:00 PM.
Pet friendly. Pet fee and Pet Agreement required.

Spring Break: Spring Break age requirement is 21, everyone staying must be at least 21 unless they are with their parents. No exceptions.
Security Dates: $25 ID Wristbands are required for each guest over the age of 10 during the following times: Spring Break Texas week, Easter weekend, Samana Santa, and Independence Day Holiday weekend. Please reach out for current security dates if you are booking around these dates. This cost pays for security that is hired during these times.
A rental agreement is required and will be sent to you for digital signature after booking.
All guests must adhere to the rules of the building.

Clean Small Condo
The condo itself was clean and fine for our stay. The property itself was an older unit and we were disappointed the hot tub was not clean and extremely small. However, the beach was wonderful and overall the condo met our needs. The supply of towels , including beach towels was very nice also. The chairs and umbrella were a plus as well!

Condo was indeed right on the beach, fantastic balcony view. Unit was clean and well stocked without being cluttered. King bed was VERY tired. Building is quite old with related issues. Water pipe broke, It was reported and apparently it is not rare. No water at the property for 5 hours.

Clean, small, a little dated, and hopefully they get a new tv as we had a lot of problems with it. Not that we watched it a lot, but when you wanted to watch it, it was hard to get on. Property owner was good about trying to resolve the issue most of the time, but I think there is something wrong with it.

Great spot, a minute walk to the beach. Elevator was nice to have for carrying in and out from second floor. Nice space, good AC and comfortable bed. The cookware is pretty old and could use a replacement, handles loose on the pots and pans etc. Cramped kitchen area but not bad for one person at a time. I think my checkin email got caught by spam as it is not clear who it is coming from, so i had to reach out at check-in for the code. Comms were unanswered in the app so i needed to call last minute but the call was answered first time. Overall for the value at beachfront would stay again.

Short February stay
The weather started cold, wet and windy, such that we never used the a.c. But instead the heating worked well. The humidity and the heating tended to make the floor tiling near the window slick with moisture. Possibly this was because the garage underneath offered no insulation from the cold. However the sun came out, the rain stopped and the wind abated making the last day or so very nice. The kingsized bed was “aged”! The bedside light USB charger sockets were a nice feature. Kitchen was well supplied. TV worked well. We were lucky enough to always find a parking place undercover. Much appreciated when it was raining. The view was accurate. It was nice to admire the waves irrespective of the weather.

not kept clean, want five star report ,but, didnt even provide paper towel and toilet paper, 1 roll and 2 rolls of toilet paper, should not feel you need to clean place on vac. smell originally due to scum in dehumidifier and on the filter, smelled better after that. The evening we arrived we called the owner. The instructions and picture of the TV remote in the living room did not correspond with the remotes. She responded with confusion and helpless instructions. We told her there was no remote for the TV in the bedroom. She was unaware there was not a remote. The king size bed mattress was very soft and sway back in the middle. We each kept sliding into the middle of the bed. A chair in the living room that should have reclined had a metal rod poking through the back area, and the foot rest did not work properly. Cheap, cheap, cluless owner. She gets 2 stars because at least there weren't bugs.

Good beach-side location
The property was as described in the listing.Our only issue was communication during the stay. For example, when construction on the appartment above us created a water leak in our bathroom, I contacted the owners. I heard nothing back and went to talk with the workers my self and got the problem resolved. Then when I thought there was a problem with a door lock, I reported it. Apparently they contacted building maintenance, but I was never told maintenance was contacted or when they would come. We would have appreciated more feedback.

The Only Good thing was its location
I was expecting a well kept, modern up to date condo unit. The best part of this whole experience was the location which was right on the beach. Having said that I contacted the manager/owner to let them know that the shade in the bedroom was damaged, there was an large open chest with doors and inside the door were mirrors, one of which was craked through the middle of it. There were cracks on the floor in the bedroom and kitchen. One of the cabinets was missing a knob. The molding on the bathroom and bedroom had cracks. No door on the bedroom and had to unplug existing lights on dresser to be able to use my chargers. The end lights were not similar. The patio door on the outside very stained and chairs were dirty. When I made the owner/manager aware of this she got very angry with me. If you want a nice modern unit don't stay here. Even the elevator is cracked inside with some holes. Oh there was also a hole in the kitchen tile. i gave it one star because of the location and the supplies that were provided. Never Stay There Again. I have plenty of pictures to prove what i said.
