"We stayed in the junior suite and loved the view of the canal. A spacious room with old world charm. The shower area is very tiny however. Breakfast was excellent. I removed a star because of the lack of hygiene at dinner time. One of the Bangladeshi workers was cleaning the kitchen and used the same ungloved hand to touch my food."

"A great small hotel in a convenient location , but quieter and less touristy. The room was lovely, the twin at the top of the hotel. The staff were very kind. We were really pleased to find such a nice breakfast included in the price it was most welcome."

"Lovely hotel, room was beautiful. Was initially concerned when there were no curtains. As I’m a light sleeper, was worried about light coming in - but it was fine. I did find the room a little cold, my husband found it hot! But the room was gorgeous. We stayed in the deluxe conte. It had a lounge area, the bathroom was huge. "Only stayed 1 night and the water boiler broke so we had no hot water to shower the day of our flight back to New York. Water was freezing cold! Never had any other issues and this was our 4th stay here…"

"The staff was lovely and the rooms were spacious and clean. We had booked a room with 2 queen beds - it was an odd set up as turned out to be 2 actual individual rooms connected by a small porch area and the door to it was right in the middle of the dinning/breakfast area. So we had to walk through tables/chairs to get to our room. Felt bizarre. But it was clean and had a nice bathroom. Great location too. We unfortunately had to check out before breakfast so didn’t get to experience that. "
