Very disappointing. Charged for suite when none was available. Expedia staff were responsive in trying to get the charge adjusted but motel owners would not respond. When we arrived, we went to check into our room and it had not been cleaned. Bed was not made and towels were draped over furniture. Got another room that was cleaned. The place was adequate but in poor repair. Walls are thin and the place was noisy. Hard to fall asleep until things got quiet sometime around 1-2am. Will not be back.

The front desk was super helpful. The girl let me check in early, and got me all set up in minutes. I was staying at a resort spa across town but needed to stay an extra night, which they couldn’t accommodate so I had to stay at this Quality Inn. I’ve never stayed at one before BUT the difference in cleanliness and layout from a 3-4 star rated spa resort was astounding. The spa resort on one hand was filthy, I found mold in that bathroom, the layout of the room was poor BUT at the Quality Inn (2 star hotel) across town I got everything I needed. On top of a clean bathroom, and easy parking. But it had a lower rating, and I DON’T understand why? Because between the two, I DEFINITELY, would stay at a quality inn again before I go back to the resort spa.

Shower curtain rod was angled down so the curtain wouldn’t stay shut. Heating unit dials were wonky. There was a thermostat on the wall but it didn’t seem to do anything other than tell us it was 55 when we arrived and 80 when we got back from dinner. Bedside table shelf was pulling away from the wall so it was sloped marking it hard for non flat items to stay put.

The location for someone needing to get around Northampton. It's proximity to I-91, without backing up to it, is good. The people are friendly, staff and hotel occupants. TV receptions for the channels I wanted, especially for PBS, was not great.

The property is run down, loud, and the kitchenette rooms aren’t available. Better to book next door at the Fairfield Inn or in Hadley.

Northampton Quality Inn stay
stay was ok, I’ve stayed at Quality Inns before and I would probably not stay at this one again. There are families living here for sure with kids running around, didn’t actually feel like a hotel. I wasn’t happy with the location, smelled weed outside so someone was smoking a lot of it when we got back to hotel. I probably would’ve stayed next door at Marriot fairview next door if I couldn’t cancelled last min but didn’t add the extra insurance and it was full anyways. I’m not a picky person, but for the cost and having this experience I will make sure I do my research on where to stay as this is as overnight visiting my child from college and distance was good.

The room was comfortable and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The property has been updated but there is some wear that seemed to indicate it is well trafficked. It was clean and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. We requested an early check-in and Holly on the front desk made it happen. The first room we were given had an odor but there was no problem switching.
