IT PROVIDES SOME OF THE BEST VALUE ON THE ISLAND AS IT IS LOCATED DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE BEACH ACCESS ON 8TH STREET. YOU CAN SWIM IN THE GULF AND ENJOY THE PRISTINE SAND OF ST GEORGE OR SWIM IN THE POOL, IT HAS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. THE COTTAGES ARE ABOUT A 15 MINUTE WALK TO THE CENTER OF THE ISLAND WHERE YOU CAN ENJOY RESTAURANTS, BARS, SHOPPING, AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU CAN FIND. Just what 2 friends traveling together needed. Great size, very clean with everything needed provided. Steps from the beach with very nice neighbors. Laura made check-in easy and was friendly and helpful when we met. Definitely on my list for a return trip!

Great location
Was nice having the beach right across the street. Just pick up your beach chair and go. The apartment was very clean and the linens on the bed, fresh and crisp. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our fresh seafood. The pool was an added bonus. Was nice to take a dip in after our morning walks.

Wonderful little bungalow-
This small bungalow is wonderful for a couple. The location to the beach is terrific-just across the street. The property manager, Laura, is terrific! She responded to all of our requests very quickly and was able to bring us beach towels and chairs that were not provided in the unit.

Beach Bum Cottages is a great place to spend a week practicing to be one! Great location & easy to make it home away from home. Pets allowed & access to pool was a plus! Owner responded in timely manner. Property manager was friendly & attentive. Highly recommended!

Property is in a great location. Easy access to the beach and fairly quiet! Price was on point. NO stairs is a big plus. Perfect cozy place
St George Island is full of large rental homes and it's hard to find a reasonably priced place to accommodate a smaller group of 4 people, and I'm so happy to have found Beach Bum Cottages, which has 4 cottages together that can house 4 people per cottage (2 bedrooms per unit). This is our second stay here, and we love it. Its the perfect size, close to the beach, clean and nicely furnished. The pool is clean and well maintained. The property manager is terrific and responds quickly to any questions that come up. I can't say enough nice things about it. Staying here again when we come back!

Very low end property
The property sleeps four comfortably. However, in the living area, there is only one chair and a couch. Very awkward and inadequate seating for two couples. There is a common courtyard with picnic tables outside for each unit, but they are all crammed in the same area with nothing to separate them and no privacy an all. This would be ok if all four units were occupied by the same party, but makes the courtyard pretty useless, otherwise. The pool is pleasant, but there are no tables or shade in the area, so you can't really eat out there and there is no relief from the sun. It's a cheaper rental and it really shows. I would recommend spending a bit more for a nicer property.
