"Fab place. I’ve stayed a few times and it’s always good quality. Staff went above and beyond this visit. Gym was excellent with good quality air con. My room was nice & comfy. I did 3 classes during my stay, all classes were of high quality. I had an evening meal & breakfast, again good quality. I sat out on the veranda overlooking the golf course. I also used the sauna during my visit which was one of the hottest I’ve been in! Top notch! Well done The Essex"

"Perfect overnight stay before my early flight. I stayed just one night at Holiday Inn Southend before my 6:30 AM flight, and everything was exactly as I hoped. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable — even the bathroom and shower were spotless and well-designed. The whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which really helped me rest before travel. I’d happily stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone flying early from Southend Airport."
