Bright, cosy lower floor flat in Victorian listed villa

Stairs lead from the garden to your front door, from which you enter a spacious hallway with a desk and reading area. There are two large bedrooms one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Décor throughout is fresh and the furnishing are a mixture of contemporary and vintage items. The living room is bright and airy with an adjacent dining area. The kitchen and bathroom have been recently upgraded to a very high standard. There is a small, stepped garden and private terrace attached to the main house garden area, for your exclusive use.
The proprietor Jane, lives in the main house with Ivy, a small friendly dog, and Jane is always happy to help. There is plenty of on street safe parking immediately outside the flat in this quiet, leafy residential area, a few minutes walk from the shops and amenities of the historic village of Bridge of Allan. The village is situated 3 miles from Stirling with easy access to the M9 and M8 motorways and the Trossachs National Park. Bridge of Allan has a railway station and there are regular trains to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth. Stirling university campus is a 10 minute walk away and there are splendid views of the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle from the main house

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The host couldnt have done more to make us feel welcome with lots of extra special touches. She left oatcskes, local cheese and butter, homemade jam and shortcake, ive never stayed anywhere like it for thoughtfulness. Superb, will definitely return.

We couldn’t have wished for more. Great location for visiting my daughter in bridge of Allan as well as perfect for Stirling or the train to Edinburgh or Glasgow. I’ve stayed in Vrbo’s all over the US and Europe for 20 years and Jane’s place is right up there with the best of them. Well equipped, clean and quiet. Jane is a wonderful host

This was my fourth visit - every summer since 2021. Well-equipped, clean and comfortable with books as well as TV. Jane is the ideal hostess - there for questions but otherwise out of the way.

A wonderful property that will not disappoint
We had a great time while in this comfortable, spacious, quiet apartment; we chose it for its convenience to Edinburgh while being in a region with so many attractions. Our choice was a good one. Jane was very easy to work with, quite welcoming, and helpful with our planning. The apartment is conveniently located in a beautiful town, full of restaurants and shops. Being welcomed by Ivy was a bonus, as were the gardens.

Lovely flat in a lovely area
The flat was lovely - just as described - and made a great base for our weekend. Our host, Jane, had put in lovely personal touches, such as home made jam, to make it feel more like a home than a rental apartment. Will definitely be back next time we are staying near Stirling - and we loved Ivy the dog too!

Wonderful flat
We had a great stay at the flat. We based ourselves in Stirling so we could do both Edinburgh and the highlands. It was easy to catch the train to Edinburgh for the day. We drove up to Ft. William and took the Jacobite train through the highlands. Great spot to stay if you want to do both. Flat was nice with comfotable beds. It was well appointed and quiet. Located in a nice neighborhood that is close to shops and restaurants.

Lovely and welcoming little home
We really enjoyed our stay. The hostess was so considerate and left us fresh baked treats and water, artisan cheese in the fridge. There was a Nespresso machine onsite; and everything we could possibly need was provided in the well-stocked kitchen. The place was clean, well looked after and cared for. The neighbors were very friendly. And our toddler loved running through the beautiful gardens -- he was so sad to leave his "little house." Would definitely stay again.

Lovely apartment located in beautiful Bridge of Allan
The apartment was clean and well equipped. The owner left a really nice array of goodies. The location is ideal, can walk to shops and good cafes and restaurants and also good walks up the woods behind the town. Bridge of Allan is a bustling little town with Victorian villas and pretty streets. The owner, Jane, was really friendly and helpful. If you are visiting this area it is much better to stay in Bridge of Allan than Stirling. It is much quieter and a lot nicer.

Easter Break
The basement flat is just lovely. Cosy, bright (despite the basement location), tastefully decorated and with everything you need. Visited with my partner and elderly mother so that we could easily visit my sister and her family in B of A. Was perfect for us. The host is very nice and extremely accommodating. We will use again.

Another enjoyable stay in an excellent apartment
This is the third year running the I have had a holiday in this apartment. Clean, very well-equipped (good saucepans matter) and spacious. Fifteen minutes walk to the railway station with direct trains to Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Fares in Scotland are reasonable. Trains clean and modern with lots of table seating to enjoy the scenery. I recommend Hideaway cafe, which is well hidden opposite the Co-op.

A+++ Above and Beyond our Expectations - perfect w/baby in tow
Everything had been thought of, from the curated selection of Scotland-themed movies to unwind at the end of the day, to every inviting nook & extra umbrellas, you can tell Jane really set it up with love and care. The flat is beautiful, full of light, CLEAN, comfortable beds, plenty of seating. The neighborhood is gorgeous and within walking distance to shops/pubs/restaurants. And short drives to sites like castles & the Wallace monument. Jane went out of her way when we told her we were bringing our baby and bought a portable crib/playpen. Also provided a baby tub and high chair. We arrived a day late due to flight delays, when we arrived there were provisions in the kitchen which let us get some much needed rest. Staying here set the bar HIGH for the rest of our trip. Definitely snag this place if it is, by miracle, available!

Excellent introduction to Scotland
A comfortable flat in an ideal location. We were in walking distance to the village of Bridge of Alan and to the train station so we didn't need a car. Jane was a wonderful host who went beyond expectations. She even bought us a power converter to replace the wrong one I brought from home. Thank you Jane for making our stay so enjoyable!
