I have stayed here before and had no issues. The lady that checked me in was nice and accommodating at getting me a room on the top floor. The kid working in the morning should not be working with customers. He had a crappy attitude and was rude. I asked for a late check out because I was running in a race that morning and wanted to shower before driving home. I was offered a whole 30 minutes for a late checkout because they “already gave one late check out”. Makes no good sense of why one more late checkout would put housekeeping so far behind. Can all of the rooms be cleaned at once? No! Did they really have that many rooms that were going to be occupied on a Sunday, in Susanville? Really? Perhaps housekeeping should spend a little more time cleaning the rooms anyway. The bathroom door was filthy. I used a few of my own Clorox wipes that I brought and they were disgustingly dirty after wiping down the door and light switches. And, there was a dirty towel and washcloth hanging on the back of the bathroom door. I will never stay at this hotel again!!

Staff was so sweet and room was good. Very noisy though. I could hear everything the people above me were doing. Definitely get a top floor room if you stay here if you don’t want to be up all night.

Staff were excellent and let us fill our coffee caraffe for the road-offered to make more for us. Would've been nice to have "to go" breakfast options like hard boiled eggs and yogurt cups, as we couldn't stay to eat there and had to get going. It's an older hotel so as clean as it could be considering that; price for value pretty good and there aren't a lot of options in Susanville to stay at.

We stay here every year and love the location in Susanville. The staff at check-in were great and our room was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, when we got to breakfast, there was not a lot of food left and they were not refilling so we had to find elsewhere.

Clean but odd bathroom renovation
Like other comments, I did smell smoke when entering the room but not in the corridor. Turned on the air and it seemed to go away. This is an older motel that has been renovated. The one issue in our room is that the bathroom granite counter was too close to the toilet so I literally could not put my left arm down as it was too tight. The linens were very nice and the room very clean. The tv did not connect and since we arrive very late I did not call to get it fixed.
