Please don’t pick this property. We stayed there only for few hours as we arrived very late and left very early in the morning. Except the Lobby rest of the hotel is in a desperate need of refurbishment. Room was too tiny, bed was a small double bed, carpet, curtains, walls badly stained. Door frame of most of the rooms are damaged. We do not think the bed sheet was changed from the previous guest as when we pulled the duvet the bed sheet had lots of hair and looked completely used. We had put the duvet back and slept on the duvet, thank god we carried our blankets. Pillows were dirty. Lots of dust all over. Shower had no pressure and was full of limescale, shower curtain was full of moulds. They provide 1 shower gel and 1 shampoo, tea and coffee, no other amenities. Overnight Parking is £9. AC switched off on its own at middle of night that disturbed our sleep. Our room was on 6th floor but lots of noise from outside. Please don’t stay in this hotel even if you get it for free. Terrible hotel.

Remote control was stuck to the sideboard and sticky rings were present where drinks had been from previous guests. Curtain was a wooden sliding blind - one of which not in the rails. One of pillows didn’t have a pillow case on it. One of the lifts didn’t work. In general the hote was a lot uncared for and well in need of a facelift. Didn’t help that I got a £100 parking ticket for parking in their car park even though I had paid for parking and used their little machine to register at the reception. The hotel cancelled it after a few emails but never got an apology!

I had to change rooms the first day, lights not working in corridor. Smell of disinfectant entering the room, half the lights not working in the room, stains on the carpet, marks on all the furniture, a single bed strategically place in the room to cover deep gashes on the walls. I changed rooms for a slightly better room but the carpet was dirty and the room smelt. Fittings were loose on door handles, the bathroom floor had stains and the toilet seat was broken. The chair in the room had a cloth cover which meant it was broken underneath. The wifi was intermittent and I noticed they reduced the number of towels in the room for my last evening. There was no pool even though this was advertised on my credit card review of the hotel. Only one lift was working out of two (permanently not working) meaning it was quicker to take stairs up and down (I was on the fifth floor) - carpets were all worn or stained on stairwell and corridors. I would not recommend this hotel.

Perfect location!
Booked the Dragon Hotel as it was very close to my daughter’s university accommodation and we wanted to come up before she moves to Swansea next month to familiarise her with her surroundings. We stayed in a triple room, 3 single beds, large TV, bath and shower, toiletries and the fridge was a nice surprise :-) It’s not a 4 star hotel as advertised and yes it could do with some refurb/modernisation but it had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Excellent value for money. Excellent location, close to the train station, Marina, town centre and nightlife. Walking distance to the beach. We will be staying here every time we come to Swansea to visit our daughter over the next 3 years due to the closeness of everything and value for money.

The lobby and staff were great. There is only one working elevator/lift, and it’s tiny (only fits three people with no luggage. Rooms were dated, limited amenities and power jacks.
