"This is a really lovely hotel for an even lovelier price ! The staff are very friendly, the rooms spacious and spotless and we had an excellent breakfast that kept us going all day. We would normally have stayed at the Premier Inn in Dumfries every time we come over from NI to visit family but will definitely be staying in the Holiday Inn in Dumfries from now on. "

"Great value property with great view of the Nith river. Would recommended and stay again if in the area. Be aware it is on a road with regular passing traffic. It was a shame you cannot view the river from the garden/patio area if sitting as the fence is too high. We overcame this by moving the table into the parking area outside the cottage boundary.For some (strange) reason there is no front gate which means you need to walk some distance to exit the property on foot.Also, BEWARE, if taking a dog there is an additional charge. On Vbro this is hidden away/not made obvious and only came to light when contacted by the letting agent asking for an additional fee - NOT ACCEPTABLE in this day and age.It will make me think twice about booking through Vbro again!!"

"An absolutely amazing cottage to stay at, the owner and their family live nearby and are really lovely. Location wise it is perfect, nice and quiet but still close enough to Dumfries to be a good commute. The cottage was great inside, kitchen and washing machine were good. I would stay here again and it is perfect if you are on placement as a student."

"We had a lovely family break at Erriff. The house is very tastefully decorated and clean throughout. The kitchen was the most equipped of any holiday home we have stayed in. They had everything we needed to cater for our party of 8. We highly recommend trying the Boathouse for brunch and the Nith Hotel served a lovely good value evening meal. We would return to this home happily. Thank you for our welcome package. The Prosecco went down a treat after our long drive."
