"The room was good and conveniently located right across from the station. However, noise was an issue. We stayed in room 104, and there was constant noise, possibly from the restaurant downstairs, which stopped around 11 PM but started again in the morning. The room was also too warm, and we had to keep our terrace door open all night to cool it down. "

"We enjoyed the value accommodation and it's proximity to the Zermatt Shuttle. The included breakfast was perfectly respectable and fed us well. We found there was little in the way of comforts other than the bed in the rooms, but appreciated the small balcony. Train noise might be an issue for very light sleepers, but was acceptable for us. I would say the underground parking requires sprucing up as it is quite foreboding right now."

"I stayed for 2 nights , the staffs were helpful & nice . The room was larege enough , however the bathroom is very small & old styled , especially the shower area , it’s just so small & the two sliding doors of the shower area were too old so that difficult to close properly , maybe our room was not located in the new building of the hotel ?! Maybe the room located in new building of the hotel would be much better & more modern …….. The hand washing liquid machine is not in good condition,...

"Returned to Alpenhotel 43 years after experiencing it as a child and my wife was equally captivated by its charm. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the room was excellent with a super view of Lake Traunsee & the mountains and it's a short hop into the charming town of Gmunden. We only stayed 2 nights towards the end of a European driving tour and would definitely go back. Excellent menu choice and top quality good too!"

"Auch unser 7. Sommeraufenthalt im Monte Rosa war wieder ein besonderes Erlebnis. Mit unseren Gastgebern hatten wir angenehme Gespräche; kleine Probleme wurden sofort gelöst. In der Ferienwohnung mit Terasse nach Süden fanden wir alles nötige, um uns erholen und selbst verpflegen zu können. Das Schwimmbad mit Blick auf das Kleine Matterhorn und das Breithorn ist schon was besonderes. Das Auto stand die ganze Zeit sicher in der Tiefgarage; hoch zur Täschalp fuhren wir lieber mit dem Taxi. Das...

"FANTASTIC. I tend to leave honest reviews, and I must say that Monte Rosa is FABULOUS. Including the balcony, we had beautiful views of the surrounding mountain landscape from all four directions (breathtakingly beautiful), and the rooms were also extremely clean and beautiful, like a wooden hut in a storybook. The place is large (one living room + kitchen, bathroom (with the best view in the house), a balcony and two bedrooms). If I visited Switzerland again, I would definitely look for this...
