"We travel to Taiwan from our home in North America to visit my wife's family in Taipei. We are curious about Tainan, and travelled here on the HSR. Our cousin suggested the Shangri La to stay since it is immediately adjacent to the regular train station and convenient to the bus routes. We have stayed here twice now to visit Tainan and get to know the city. The hotel is outstanding. The staff is excellent. The breakfast offered with the room is substantial.
