It’s a very short drive to ‘downtown’ Talkeetna (very walkable if you like to walk). The hosts sent GREAT recommendations ahead of our stay, including a detour which proved to be a magnificent addition to our trip. "

"We weren’t in the mood to host Thanksgiving this year and with our busy schedules, decided it might be fun to change things up and run away. Since it was a big meal to prepare for, I forgot a few things like kitchen gadgets/appliances that they happened to have there. It was all in the details and they were prepared. It was very clean and homey. And added bonus was a relaxing snowy night in the hot tub. We will be back! "
