"Friendly reception team. Apartments are a lovely size and had a nice view of the pool. Easy to park outside. Pool was warm and lots of sunbeds. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. Really happy we chose this apartment for the facilities and the location."

"Always book the Celeste, it is great value for money, very clean and services well by housekeeping and reception staff. We stayed in the superior block 2 area which are refurbished apartments. They provide everything we need. Pay extra for safe, iron and hairdryer if required. There’s a laundry to do a self wash and dry if you need it. "Apartments are lovely. Very basic but perfect for what you need. Comfy and clean. We only used one pool area but good enough. Sunbeds aren’t that many and some people on the ground floor put theirs at their balcony doors and expect us not to take them when they weren’t using them (no towels etc). Location wise it was a good walk to shops etc and paths are slippy when wet leading down the roads. Bar food was cheap. Room was very spacious. Shower not great pressure or temp was the only bad thing....

"If you haven't been to the Sands it is a fantastic property - 6 plazas each with its own pool for adults and kids plus a private beach and a public beach on its doorstep. There is also a playground, a grocery store and all of this within walking distance (10-15 minutes) from the main beach and restaurants of Costa Teguise. The apartment itself is very well equipped, clean and comfy. I would recommend it to friends and I surely will choose it next time I return to Lanzarote. "

"This is the 6th occasion we have stopped at the hotel. On the whole was as expected although the WIFI was not working in champs bar with which told the staff in champs bar but was never rectified. Had to speak with reception staff and it was solved the following day. Though it was not as reliable as previous years. Often dropping out. Also the hot meals choice in the buffet restaurant did not appear to have the numbers with respect to variety from previous years. "

"The hotel was spotlessly clean, the facilities were excellent. Great if you want to be active with a varied programme and equally great if you want to just go and relax. The food was really very good (only experienced Breakfast and Dinner, so can’t comment on Lunch) nice to have a choice of Buffet restaurants. The on-site supermarket is very good, well stocked and reasonably priced. We stayed in a family room (3 adults) it was plenty big enough for us with enough privacy. Very comfortable beds, big fluffy towels and cleaned/made up every day. It had a full size fridge and a microwave and kettle. There were 2 televisions but we didn’t really use and a balcony with a table and 4 chairs. I would say the area surrounding the hotel is not great, quite a walk to Costa Teguise. This didn’t bother us as we were only there a few days for some winter sun. So the coastal path walk was lovely of a morning, we were not looking for anything more than that. If you did want a bit of nightlife out of the hotel, you would need to get the bus from outside or taxi I would say. It’s only about 15 mins taxi from airport which cost 22€ each way. Was very easy to pick up a taxi when coming out of airport and there was a taxi rank just outside the hotel and we only waited about 5 mins for one to come along to take us back to the airport. The hotel reception would have called one if we needed though I am sure. All in all a very positive first experience and we would definitely return. "

10 day all-inclusive stay.

"apartment was lovely,with great facilities,my only complaint would have been the omission of coffee making facilities ans the occasionzl lzpse from the housekeeping staff,ie.no towels replaced and same for shower gel.the food at vitalclass varied between average and excellent,i could usually find something nice to eat,even at the times when i found the selection of food on offer not the best.most of the staff who work in the dining room could do with a change of attitude i feel,most looked as though they were very unhappy to be there(not all)and didn't try very hard to hide this.the entertainment laid on of an evening is very much aimed at those who talk french,when i asked why this was,was told that most of the rooms are occupied by the french,so maybe euros spent from the uk aren't worth as much? a special mention to 2 of the staff here who make the difference here,miguel and anna who both work at the bar,frindly,nice and very hard working.i found most of the staff at the desk to be very helpful too.but the barstaff are a credit to the whole place.after all is said and done,i would definately stay here again."

Royal Level Experience

"Barcalo Royal Level was a great resort - the room was spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. THe main hotel areas are very clean and neatly laid out. The communal toilets near restaurant and pool need some repairs, but every other common area was very nice. The restaurants are so good, the amount of food was amazing and the variety was A LOT! I used the Royal Level restaurant for breakfasts as the chefs making the omelettes, pancakes, bagels, french toast, eggs were better than other restaurants. Other meals I used the bigger buffet restaurants which had more choice. I would recommend the resort it lived up to and exceeded my expectations. Some reviews I read before questions the need for Royal Level booking - but I found it near faultless. I would've liked the Olympic Pool to be included (maybe 2 bookings per trip) but I used the main pools which were really good. The cocktails and access to soft drinks & beer were really good. "
