"A remarkably nice place, for such a remote location. The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The Candelilla Cafe was pricey but very nice. There are less expensive options in nearby Terlingua, and the resort itself has Boardwalk Bakery & Pizzeria. Our room was in the “Calvary Post” area and very comfortable with a cute “Old West” look. The Wi-Fi worked well and the shower and refrigerator were fine. A little updating might be appropriate, but we were pleased overall."

"We stayed in the Emory suite. Decorated so cute. Lots of thought into providing everything needed. We stayed 3 nights and it was so comfortable. Bring your own food. Food in town wasn't great. Short drive into Big Bend Park. Stars are plentiful outside on porch. Have recommended to friends planning a trip."

"This is a beautiful facility in a beautiful location. Five stars except that it advertises that there is wifi in the rooms. We had no service. I emailed the address given via my phone but received no response whatever. This doesn't detract much from the otherwise great experience. But, for the price, the property should fulfill its advertised representations. It was disrespectful not to respond to my query at all."

"We loved our stay — the bed was a little creaky but we loved everything else! Might be best for a single person, with two of us we kept each other up by turning around in the creaky bed. "
