"Tastefully designed and furnished. An oasis just far away from the hustle of the city ( you can still hear the horns but softly). The walk to and from the hotel is a mini hike it is located on a hill and if your room is on the upper floors, add another mini hike as there is no elevator. And the view is fabulous - especially as the sun goes down. The dining is 5star and so are the prices. All in all a great place to stay ( if you are fit)"

"This is the best hotel in the Thamel area. The hotel is always clean and the staff is so nice and extremely helpful! I have stayed there a few years in a row and they remember me and are so welcoming. Great location too! "

"Really enjoyed my stay at Arushi. The hotel is in a nice area, on a side street, but is a short walk away from a lot of restaurants/shops. Very nice property. It can get a bit noisy with construction next door, but it was a pleasant stay. Negotiate the car price if booking through the hotel. Would stay here again. "

"Best service! the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and help! If you are looking for a traditional feeling hotel in Thamel close to everything this is for you! The kindest most helpful staff! Excellent value! Nice breakfast! Has an elevator! I was traveling with my elderly mother and my two children and this was convenient. "

Amazing Building, Fantastic Staff

"I had a really great stay here. First, the building is amazing. Staying in a beautiful setting like this really added to my experience in Kathmandu. Second, the staff is great. From thoroughly cleaning my room each day (more than is typical at a hotel) to making sure my bed was heated at night, they were attentive to all my needs. Third, the breakfast buffet was great. They also augmented it with some Nepali cuisine cooked to order. The only negative is that I seemed to have an allergic reaction to something in the room that caused me to sneeze quite a bit. "
