"The apartment was exactly what we wanted! It was comfortable and clean! The host was wonderful and had no issue with answering any questions we had! The apartment is so close to the high street - a perfect spot for nights out or just a quick visit to the center. The only thing we found that there was not any oven trays for cooking but there was an oven. Not a dealbreaker at all and we just used foil that was provided. Just a point for the future! "Easy checking in but only from 2pm to 6pm. Very comfy bed, warm room, tea and coffee facilities. Powerful shower. Handy location very close to train station. Pay and display car park behind pub however can only park from 2pm to 5am and then need to leave for an hr before return. Unfortunately room smelled of cigarette smoke. "A great find. On arrival we walked over to look at all the boats on Roydon Marina and had lunch at The Boathouse Cafe Bar, which overlooks the Marina. Staff friendly and helpful in the Hotel Reception. We had booked a windowless room but figured we'd be watching television or asleep so wouldn't need to worry about looking out of a window. "When I arrived the staff were were really understanding.. lovely.. helpful,, asked if we were ok,, a lady she gave us a little booklet we could use with vouchers.. other guests were lovely really welcoming,, felt like there was a proper community here,, the room had a radio playing as we walked it.. that was So welcoming,, we found a rubber 🦆 in the bathroom,, there was a beautiful welcome note written to us on the note pad and the foods amazing!! The heating was on in the room when we entered.. which was quite a lot.. a warm place already that doesn't need to be on,, ⛅ quite low in the ams as well,, which made it uncomfortable,, cleaners did see to the rooms before check out time,, which felt like an alarm clock,, no plugs near the bed,, the bar was open until 3am on Saturday and 00.00 on a Sunday,, our club the other side of Essex isn't open them times that late next to us.. twice someone moved right next door to us,, wasn't any privacy,, the tap didn't run that much,, water come out scolding for the bath,, had to fill it with cold first,, took forever "

"This was by far one of the best stately manor/Halls we have stayed at, The House is breathtaking and spacious, free parking and breakfast was included in the Price. The fine dining was excellent but pricey, Therr was a cheaper option in the lounge bar. Drinks expensive but well worth it for the experience. Spa and hydra pools not included but was very nice. The best thing about the hotel were the staff. Polite, helpful and attentive, by far the best service we have had in a long while. Thoroughly impressed and highly recommended "
