"Before we arrived, we weren’t sure what to expect because the reviews were such a range of absolutely amazing or completely horrid. Our first time to the Keys, and we wanted an old school vibe that was quiet and relaxed, in the middle of the Florida Keys, and we could slow down and enjoy ourselves. The resort is older, but well maintained and clean. Yes, there are some dings in the flooring, and walls, but age isn’t dirt. I booked a deluxe king, and we had room 18, the Blue and Gold Macaw...

"There are more exclusive hotels in the area but this is a very good hotel for a little less $s. From the room to the pool and grounds to the breakfast and lobby area are certainly 4 star but lack 5 star touches, beach views, and feeling."

"I had an awesome stay at coconut cay! I thought it would be a little dated but I was happily surprised with an updated room including a king bed and large shower. I loved staying here.. the back had seating under string lights, chairs by the dock and tables. It was such a lovely surprise. The place offers paddle boards, bikes and a dock with no charge. I’ll be back! "
