The staff was all very friendly. The building itself is very outdated and needs an overhaul. The carpet in the rooms felt very dirty and the bathroom tub had a lot of old damage. I think with some updates and the current staff it would be great.

When I looked in a drawer next to the bed there were wrappers from snacks that someone had and there was also a piece of beef jerkey next to the chair. The pillows left a little to be desired but otherwise it was a good experience.

There's No Place Like Home!!!
Ive been coming to Topeka, Kansas for years but always manage to get the not so clean hotels until I stumbled upon Sleep Inn on Wanamaker Rd. The staff treats you like Kings and Queens and the hotel in itself is like a castle with all the cleanliness and downright make you feel at home. I will be coming back to this hotel in the coming year. A wonderful place to spend the night!!!

The lock on our door was awful. At check-in, they told us it didn’t work very good and had to bend the card key slightly to get it to work. It took on average, 5 min each time, to enter our room. There was a smell in the room…moldy smell. Awful!! Where the tv hung, the board backing was peeling all across the top. The mattress was sloped!!! Seriously, not flat and had to sleep on the edge because the bed was SLOPED!! To top off this “wonderful” stay, the vacuum started at 7am!!!!!!! Seriously? Never, ever have I stayed somewhere a hotel starts that soon. 8 yes, but 7??? I told the checkout clerk about it and he didn’t care. Told me that’s normal and most other hotels do that too. Told me to complain to corporate if I didn’t like it!!!! Would like to be compensated!!!!! It was a girls weekend with my daughter and myself…too bad this memory will be remembered with disgust and disappointment!!! Hope someone follows up to this concern.
