"Had a really lovely stay at the hotel, with reception being great and an upgraded room. Loved the breakfast and dinner and the view in the Compass Bar was great. Would definitely stay again. It’s not pristine and perfect everywhere but we found in had faded charm and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended."

"Nice big room. Had a sea view however there is a huge pine tree in the middle. Room was very big with a very nice and clean bathroom. Check in was easy enough. It is a classic old hotel that could do with some updating. Didnt dibe in so i cant comment on that. Overall a very enjoyable stay abd when the wife says she would stay here again you know its a good hotel. "

"The staff are extremely friendly and the grounds are amazing to walk around. Absolutely beautiful and well kept building situated in a lovely part of Devon. Well worth to see well worth taking part two for a romantic time away."

"Fabulous adults only property with stunning spa facilities. Excellent food, reasonable bar prices and friendly staff. We did ask to move rooms and (loud dripping from drainpipes just outside the room which was very annoying given the pouring rain) this was accommodated immediately. Nice to park in the hotel grounds, but £15 per day is a little excessive, although appreciate it is secure and monitored. Heated towel rail in the bathroom is way too small to accommodate bath towels and spa towel, especially if the spa towel isn’t changed. However, we would go back and definitely make use of the wonderful spa facilities. "
