"We had two family apartments. One which was the main floor, and one on the third floor. The main level was okay temperature wise with a travel fan; however, the third floor was horrible even with a travel fan. I would highly recommend investing in two fans per room or air conditioning. Bed was comfortable; however, I would invest in real pillows or definitely bring your own. Overall we had a lovely stay. The elevator did breakdown once but was fixed within 24 hours. "We were delighted to find the space as described, directly at the lake with an amazing view. Everything was clean and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Communication with the host was great although confusing at times as we also received communication from a German property manager in German ahead of our stay. It all worked itself out perfectly and we had an awesome stay. I especially want to recommend the restaurant below the apartment called Seesicht! Excellent food, service and view!"

I had already let him know we were coming from California for a family reunion in Germany with my husband’s family. "This is a wonderful apartment in a delightful town. It is biking and swimming heaven. The apartment is spacious, light and airy, and even though the weather was very hot it stayed cool. Very well equipped and thoughtfully arranged. Impeccably clean and very peaceful and quiet. Super warm and helpful host. Such a nice welcome and stay on our first time in Langenargen. Highly recommend, 5 stars not enough!"

It is a short, 5-minute walk to the beach – which includes the ferry stop, a bakery, a small steakhouse and several other shops and cafés. A larger supermarket is only a 10-minute walk away. "Even though we didn’t speak much German, we could communicate with the host through VRBO and the messages were translated. We appreciated the lockbox entry so we didn’t need to arrive at a specific time. There was free parking behind the house. Unfortunately we had a massive van and we couldn’t fit it in the parking area, but the host directed us to another spot we could use. There were three spacious bedrooms, and a well supplied kitchen. There was a large bathroom and a nice patio area too....

"The appartement had everything we needed fir a five day stay. There is a well equipped kitchen and a large balcony. We have not met the landlady , she left the keys for us in the door and we did the same upon departure."

New Castle exploration!!

"This hotel is absolutely perfect, the complete Danube river side of the hotel looks right at the Hohenzollern Castle, which is so beautiful!! Everything in the rooms worked, breakfast was delicious and abundant, you will not leave hungry for sure. Staff is so nice and friendly, we definitely come back for another short trip. They have a restaurant as well that Has a wonderful menu."

Great hotel

"We checked in very late and the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and spacious, no fridge but they did have an ice machine. No real aircon to speak of so would probably be hot in the summer. Breakfast was great and parking was 10-15 euros. Hotel isn’t close to anything but great for what we needed. Very happy with our stay. "

"Such a beautiful hotel with lovely reception staff. We booked a junior suite which had a great view of the gardens and lake. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice. Comfortable large bed. Great food in the restaurant in the evening. Very close to the ferry and lots of restaurants. 10 minute walk to the train station. Lots of options for walks along the lake to other towns and can get the bus or train back. Would definitely recommend staying in Uberlingen and this lovely hotel. "
