"Lovely stay overall. I booked a single room but got upgraded to a double one. The room is dated but had everything you need plus a bathtub which was amazing after a working day! Newcastle sightseeing spots are in walking distance there is a 10 mins walk to a shopping centre. Amazing if you’re travelling by train as the train station is juts next door. There is no noise in the room at all though. Highly recommending!"

"The price for the room was great and the hotel was beautiful. Gym and pool were excellent. The rooms need an update. The showers need updating also but other than that it was a relaxing stay "

"Amazing trip we booked due to last minute cancellation of our flight to Dublin. It was my partners birthday so sorted something very quickly. Staff were great, suite was great can’t complain one bit . "

"The Copthorne was wonderful, it was warm and inviting, with helpful and supportive staff members. We only stayed the one night but will be sure to return soon. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, and the room was immaculate, with views out onto the river which were second to none. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with a good selection of food. "

"Stayed here for one night on business. Great rate for the night. Check in great. Room fantastic with a bit of wow factor upon entering. Very clean, comfy bed. Swimming pool fantastic. Fusion restaraunt food lovely but service not great. I was approached almost as soon as i sat down for food ordering but i hadnt seen the menu yet so i asked for 2 minutes. 15 minutes later a server came and apologised for the wait. Which at least she acknowledged i was waiting. Food came, lovely and tasty, but noone checked on me to see if everything was okay with my meal. Then when i finished my meal i waited for what felt like forever for someone to clear my plates. When someone finally came over i just asked for the bill and didnt even wait for my plates to be cleared. Just a bit of advice, when there is a solo female traveller eating on her own, she may not feel comfortable waiting around for so long. This doesnt bother me but i do know colleagues and friends who sometimes may feel vulnerable because travelling on business and just wants to eat and leave. This was not possible for me and i was left for around 45 minutes longer than needed. I did try to catch the servers eyes but they genuinely did not look in my direction at all. So felt a little overlooked. Bit of a shame."
