Unique property in the heart of the district. Quaint, historical decor. Still even uses the antique skeleton keys to lock your room. Loved it.

Hotel Al Vagon is absolutely charming! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The staff is friendly, helpful and provided great restaurant recommendations. Hotel Al Vagon is perfectly located with lovely restaurants, cafes and a gondola stop just steps away. It’s a short walk to the Rialto Bridge and transit stop making it very easy to navigate the beautiful city of Venice. If a charming, old world style hotel overlooking a canal is the experience you are looking for, this is your hotel!

The location was great. Pillows and hair dryer needs to be updated. Shower is extremely small. Loved having the little market around the corner and lots of options for food. I was looking for clean, safe and location and it checked all those points.

Hotel was clean but quite outdated. Staff very helpful. Bathrooms very small. Someone above us was very loud dragging chairs on floor. This is just good enough to rest your head at night.

Nicely located. Easy access to everything. Excellent window to keep the street noice down but no match to the daily garage removal noises that start around 6:30 & last till 8am. No issues for early risers. Early start is great.

When we arrived the person on the door seemed grumpy - I’d had problems before we even arrived because, even though my receipt said “ pay on arrival” he cancelled our booking and I had to rebook it through Expedia. He barely spoke to us. Our room was in an annexe down a dark and dingy alleyway and up a lot of stair - I’m disabled. The room itself was ok. No waste bin in the bedroom, only the bathroom. However, the location was very good and central.

Está bien ubicado, muy seguro, muy amable el personal, fantástica habitación estilo veneciana del siglo XV y muy limpia, hay un mercadito justo al lado, muchos restaurantes y tiendas a su alrededor y está a pocos minutos caminando de la Plaza de San Marcos, el Palacio Ducal, el puente de los suspiros y la más bella estación de góndolas de toda Venecia.

It's a small room but has all necessities, tea pot with coffee and tea, safe, extra pillows, blankets, very clean, everything worked, well kept up. Location was fantastic and the cafe in the same building was so convenient for breakfast, lunch, bites, drinks... Thank you Maurizio fior great service!

Small room with charm. High ceilings, windows that opened up to the alley. You could smell pizza baking from the restaurant down below. Nice, clean bathroom. Hotel was in excellent location, walk to everything.
