"We only stayed at the property for one night as a stopover between tours. The place is nice and very conveniently located within walkable distance to the few sights there are to see in Windhoek, and some restaurants and coffee shops. I got e-mails with two different unit numbers so there was some confusion at the check-in which one was the correct one. Also, the electric meter was not "filled up" so the security person had to contact the property manager to do that in order for us not to run out...

"Overall the house is good. We were their first Stayz clients so there were little things that didn’t match Stayz standards. However Ramos was quick to remedy the problems. I have written a list for him to bring it up to scratch. The house is very large and with 2 lounge areas. "We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Barend's property. It was clean, spacious and well furnished. The beds and couch were very comfortable. We especially appreciated how well the air conditioning worked since we rarely experienced that at the other lodges around Namibia. The guard to The Village was helpful too. "I did the booking and when I got there the were no apartment available for me because the owner who does not have an apartment there any more. Talking to the security his informed that that guy does that all the time and when people get there he negotiate and get them to another place making an impression that he his helping. "The staff were excellent and very accommodating. The dinner was superb. The Namibia Grill Platter with pepper sauce was better than a lot of high end restaurants as was the homemade ice cream and peaches for dessert. The facilities are simple, no TV in room and internet only in the common area but if you want a quiet get away, for the price, a very good bargain."

Superb

"Wonderful in every way. Our tented room was very well appointed, with the opportunity to self cater. However, we were delighted to have breakfast and our evening meal in the restaurant as the food was superb. Celine ensured that we were very well looked after and that we had ample opportunity to interact with wildlife. She told us a great deal about the giraffes and oryx. The pool area was very comfortable. We relaxed happily at the Game Camp after our driving tour. We recommend highly."

"We got a two bedroom suite that was well appointed, simply decorated and very comfortable for the four nights we were there. The staff are all very friendly and professional. My only gripe would be the weird smell in the lobby, it’s smells like an open drain pipe at times. "
