"Close to Jay Peak & restaurants on Newport’s Main St but laid out awkwardly. Bathroom is huge but living room is cramped. I was a little worried that we would be cold since it didn’t look well insulated, but the heat was good & strong & it didn’t take long to warm up. Owner likes fish & angels, which dominate the decor. "We stayed in the cottage during the third weekend of October, yet the foliage was still beautiful. We were located just a few minutes away from Crystal Lake State Park, Lake Willoughby, and wonderful local restaurants like Roberto's Pizza and Barton Baking. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed, including heating and a nice fireplace. Highly recommend!"

Great cabin for families

"We rented a 4 person cabin and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it included 2 separate small bedrooms plus a common area, which provided the privacy that our family needed. The cabin was very clean when we arrived and it was well stocked with towels, blankets, and toilet paper. The service was excellent as the manager checked in to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. We stayed in the winter and I was glad that our cabin was heated. The cabin would be great for a family in the summer as there is an outdoor swimming pool, tether ball, tire swing, picnic tables and a barbecue. There is also a stream (Barton River) behind the swimming pool that would be fun for kids to play in on a hot day."
