The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The first room we were in had holes in the sheets and faint stains on the couch, the second room was clean. The first night we didn't sleep at all, the rooms are as sound insulated as a paper bag. We were on the third floor, and could hear people walking by the hotel screaming and laughing like they were in the room with us. This was pretty constant due to the fact there are several bars and clubs near the hotel. Then about 12:30am there was some sort of loud, rythmic thumping music that didn't stop for over half an hour before we called the front desk and asked to move rooms. They moved us to the 9th floor (though a smaller, downgraded room), and we were able to get a few hours of sleep before we had to start our day. The second night, we heard the same sounds of people plus construction crews working, the same rythmic sound (albeit slightly quieter), and the beeps of trucks backing up all night. We ultimately booked another hotel the next morning. The staff apologized, despite it not being their fault, and offered to move us again. We chose not to risk another loud night and went to the other hotel. To emphasize how bad the noise was, we didn't get a refund for the nights we had left ($600 worth) "because we prepaid" and spent $500 on another hotel just to get some quiet. Beautiful hotel in a convenient area, wonderful staff, small but ok rooms, but atrocious noise that will ruin your trip.

This hotel is very nice. The staff is excellent and very kind. The problem I have with the hotel is the emphasis they put on their club and special events over their guests. If I paid over $450 a night to stay in a nice hotel, I shouldn’t have to wait to use the elevator for 20 plus minutes because the club guests have priority. The staff is so kind and apologetic but whoever makes these rules really needs to decide if they are an event venue or a hotel. Not to mention having to listen to music blasting until 2 am when you’re trying to sleep. I wish I had known about the club nights and weddings before I booked my stay. Find a different hotel!

This was our second stay, and it was just as great as the first. The staff are super nice and fun. We had the same waiter (Emanuel) for many meals and he was such a pleasure to chat with and super efficient. The fellows that work at the door are great too. They always make sure we are taken care of. We will be back.
