Make sure you print out the codes before your arrival. We were not told to do this and there was no cell service at the property, which is not a problem when you're onsite as there is ample wifi. But there is a gate to access the property, so when we arrived there was no way to get in and no one answered the call button from the gate. We had to drive another 30 minutes back to get enough signal to open the email and take a quick screenshot of all the codes we would need.
The property is on a beautiful deep water portion of the Blanco river, which is why we booked it. There are four rooms for rent in a barn, with the middle as communal seating.
The room was nicely decorated and the linens on the bed were excellent. It is more like a hotel room than a typical VRBO as far as amenities in the room. There is a mini-fridge, a small sink, a tiny trashcan and a coffeemaker. No coffee or coffee filters provided. Minimal glasses and plates and only a few plastic forks as cutlery. Small microwave and propane grill available for shared use. No ice on site.
The main problem was that there is major construction going on directly across the river. When we arrived in the evening it was just an eyesore, but by 9am the next day we could hear the sounds of heavy engines and back up beeps even in our room. Wanting to spend the day on the river it was even louder down there. The noise did not stop until after 5pm. Not a relaxing way to spend a trip to the river :(
