The staff is amazing…all local Mayans from Tekit. The pool, grounds, architecture and design, lighting and jungle-manicured landscaping was carefully designed by professionals. We had the place to ourselves. Pool was great, breakfast was lovely, room and bed were comfortable. Not much shower water pressure and a bit out of town, but for one night it was just fine. Best to have a car, as the are no Ubers in Izamal.
