"Great experience staying her for 5 nights. Staff is friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable and the location is good. No complaints other than the WiFi was a little spotty at times perhaps they can work on improving that. I would definitely stay here again! "

"Great hotel. Clean, modern and right in the middle of downtown. Short walk to shopping, public transportation, restaurants, etc. The immediate area around the hotel can be a little touristy and obnoxious, but it didn't diminish our time there. Note: don't pay for the breakfast in advance, there are many restaurants & coffee shops in the neighborhood, and you are sure to find something you like very quickly. Recommended!"

"The room was quite spacious but we were upgraded to a bigger room (free of charge). The breakfast buffet at the hotel was also pretty good (lots of options to choose from). There's a bit of walk if you want to take the subway but there are two bus stops right beside the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here."

"Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Sanjo is a gem in it's area. It feels like it was out of place, but in a good way. The hotel feels like a 4- or 5-star hotel. The room is spacious and comes with a lot of amenities in case you forgot something. Hotel is quiet. You can barely hear anyone else. Area is superb. Close to the night market, to a train station, and close to a lot of dining options. Location is walkable. I would choose this hotel again and recommend it to everyone. "

"Overall excellent property. Nice lobby. Appears they change the art installations frequently . Few quirks they take away the water from the lobby in the evenings. Also the bakery opens at 8 am. Would be ideal if opened earlier. Excellent rooftop. "

"The rooms are spacious unlike the hotel I stayed at in Tokyo. The Staff are very adorable and friendly and polite and hospitable honestly it’s the full package. The services here are superb and the atmosphere is great. There’s tons of amenities unlike the hotel I stayed at in tokyo like the gym, spa, sauna, business room, pool etc."

"Loved my stay at this hotel. It was the perfect place to come back to after a day out. And even if you decide to stay indoors, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and relaxing (not to mention the spa!). Epitome of relaxation. The perfect ryokan

"We stayed for just one night to expierence the best this ryokan had to offer and man did it exceed all our expectations. To truly know, book one of their 4 suites. The #500 rooms. Massive rooms with authentic tatami mats, personal and private onsen that is open air facing the beautiful lake, out of this world seasonal dinner/breakfast course. The area is secluded enough to be quiet but not far from the local town. Cute and quaint souvenir shop. Oh and the bidet toilet is the best we've ever seen. Lastly, the staff is extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They know english very well too. They have a shuttle that does pick up and drop off from Ogotoonsen Station so skip the taxi and call the resort when you get there. If you have cell service there is a free cell phone that you can use to call the resort. Theres also a guide of numbers for all the resorts in the area. To wrap up, book a night at this ryokan you will not regret treating yourself to a time of lavish luxury. "
