"We enjoyed our stay very much at Retrievers Retreat! 2 senior adults and our very small dog, Bailey. Cabin is well kept and not too far into the woods although it is up on the mountain. Liked the condiments in the cabinets, coffee and powdered creamer, teas provided, although we did not use them. A nice wine fridge too! The bed we used on the main floor was very comfortable, and we liked the lighted mirror above the bathroom sink, shower has body wash, shampoo and conditioner in hanging bottles....

"A great cabin and riverfront place - the cabin is rich with amenities and perks - snacks, food, good cutlery, linens, robes(!) etc - super clean and user friendly - and what a lovely spot! If you are fishing, we probably caught 60 fish each over 2 days - and access is right there and super easy. Will definitely be back!"

"The cabin was nicely located on the river, but was a little loud at times from truck noise on the road. Interior was clean and comfortable. The code wasn't updated at check-in, and it took us about 5-10 minutes of standing outside at night to get it resolved. Also, the guest house lights randomly went on during our second evening and shone bright lights into the cabin. Manager did not respond until the next morning."

"My husband, daughter, & I stayed here with our dog for a long weekend. It was beautiful! The home was gorgeous with spectacular views & away from everything. It was awesome that there was 40 acres on the property to explore - thatā€™s not in the listing though. The hot tub was great for relaxing at the end of the day after walking the trails."

"Perfect size for our family of 4 (plus the dog!) to get away for a few days. Very clean and comfortable. It had all the kitchen supplies we needed, and we enjoyed the games provided. Streamed a few movies on the large tv. The babbling creek curves around the whole back half of cabin; along with the swings and firepit were very peaceful and quiet. We played games, made smores, and laughed a lot! We would absolutely stay here again."

"This is a beautifully decorated home with a spectacular 180 degree view! I enjoyed my stay, relaxed on the deck, took in lovely sunrises and sunsets, viewed deer and birds, and was surprised by four different firework displays from afar. The home was stocked with everything, had great WiFi/internet service, and was quite comfortable. Near by to Winchester, I visited the Shenandoah Museum and sculpture garden, Patsy Cline Historic home and museum, and the shops."
