"I have stayed here a few times, in both single and double rooms. The rooms have always been clean with nice toiletries and I have enjoyed a very fulfilling vegan breakfast. It is a busy pub so it can sometimes take longer to be served drinks but the staff I've met are all friendly and I look forward to going back next year. "

"Amazing hotel and the staff were great, could not of been more helpful after a last minute booking at 9pm after the original hotel we booked (The Crossways) was totally unacceptable to stay in due to our room being directly above the speakers for a Christmas Party they were hosting. Noise in the room was so loud no one would of been able to sleep and given we had a 6 year old child with us even more shocking they put us in that room. Room was spacious and comfy, location was amazing as we had the Xmas trip booked at Wookey Hole and the breakfast was by far one of the best we have had staying in hotels or even a restaurant. Highly recommended as a place to stay if going to Wookey Hole or just visiting the area. "

"The Reception staff were extremely helpful when I arrived at changing the room for my elderly mother who could not walk up the stairs. Very kind ladies – particularly the head housekeeper whose name I can’t remember – I think she was Polish."

"Second or third stay at the Keep, previously in the tower suite, now a flying stop so a "basic" downstairs room. Despite being street facing at ground level it's absolutely quiet. I live on a busy main road & this room was so much quieter than home. Palatial room with perfectly comfortable bed, large shower, microwave, fridge, etc. No staff on site most of the time which always makes me a little nervous, but I've never needed them, & the price reflects it. If I want 24hr staffing I'm welcome to pay (a lot) more for the privilege, but won't, should the fates send me to Yeovil again, I'll stay at the Keep happily. On-site parking is quite tight, & if you struggle with difficult parking I'd suggest a quick look on foot on arrival before you take the car in. (When booking (via Expedia) breakfast appeared to be a £67 option (not a lot less than the room cost), which I'm sure was an error. I didn't need breakfast, so it was no bother to me, but might be worth verifying if it would be a problem for you.) "
