"Loved our stay here. Long way from hotel facilities and no pool access. We had children with us. Our apartment needed more cutlery and glasses. I often expect when booking through a hotel and upgrading the room that you still get to access hotel facilities and have basics in room like tea and coffee. Amazing views, clean and comfortable. "The hotel is bike friendly. We checked into the hotel after a long day biking in the rain. They have a lovely sauna, breakfast was really good, washing facilities and a great bar too. The room had beds that were too soft to our liking but that is the only complaint. Our building looked extremely new and we are already talking about a trip again this winter!! Oh and you can walk to the grocery store in 5 minutes and other restaurants if you wish. "

"Loved this beautiful cabin, one of the nicest places I've stayed. Had all amenities you could ask for and more, plus a sauna. Cosy decor and loved the fireplace and the balcony overlooking the lake. Cabin was very clean and great location close to the centre of Akaslompolo. Hope I can stay here again some time."

"Great location! Beautifully situated in the woods and near ski slopes. Front desk gal was rude. Check out was at 12pm, she came up to our room at 12.10pm, i opened the door and she rudely made a comment we have to leave now, w/out even greeting us...She treated us like we were late cpl hrs and it was just a matter of 10mins past 12pm ...i looked at the time and said we are packing and leaving. She didn't smile and she wasn't polite. Definitely a lot to ask Customer Service wise."

"Marikki, the owner, is very welcoming and friendly, a real 'people person'. We were slightly concerned that we were a little way from the village to go out to eat in the evening but this was not a problem. The hotel meals were so good there was no need to go out - very tasty and with a traditional theme. The local taxis are also quick and efficient. This was a very comfortable place to stay where the hosts made every effort to ensure you have a good time. It is right next to a ski track so easy...

"From start to finish Linda has been fantastic answering all questions we had even down to recommendations for trips and restaurants… cabin is amazing the pictures don’t do it justice.. couldn’t have asked for a better location 10 min walk one way to the shops and frozen lake 2 mins walk the other way to a fantastic woodland walk .. seen the lights 3 times in 7 days, temp was around -23 most days so lovely to come back to a warm cosy cabin and use the sauna.
