"The convenient location on the beautiful Brouwersgracht can't be beat. Just minutes from Central Amsterdam, yet a whole lot quieter and quaint. The view of the canal from the front room is captivating and beautiful. Furnishings are basic, clean, and comfortable. The host, Jesse, was responsive, considerate, and kind. A great choice of accommodation when visiting Amsterdam."

"A lovely little studio space right on the street by a canal. (The door opens right onto the sidewalk if you’re not used to that) Awesome location for walking everywhere. Unless you’re used to the chaos of tiny roads with bikes, cars, and pedestrians going in every direction don’t even consider a car … The bathroom area is a tight space but great to have laundry. It is right on the street so if sleep is an issue bring a mask and ear plugs. Overall a good space for access to the city. "

"We used this a our main base for touring the Netherlands. It was near Amsterdam, slept 7 easily, roomy enough for us all. It was tough to speak with anyone with the accomodation before we got there as to how each room was stocked. Lots of dishes and cutlery. Nice and close to Volendam to walk into town and stroll. If we go back would use again. "

"Wonderful hosts. Helped find a Dr. when we showed up sick and it turned out to be a very quick and easy Dr. office to go to. Helped with bags and left lots of necessities in the fridge. got back to us really quickly with any questions. Lovely view of the canal. I always wanted to stay on a canal. Grocery stores and tram lines are close. Lovely and interesting city."

"Property in an amazing safe location - walkable to the centre (15/20 mins) or can get a tram which is 1 minute walk away. Lovely bar on the corner for pre drinks with v friendly staff. Host very helpful a week before we arrived answering all my questions and also during our stay. "Property was lovely. Had everything you need for A short stay, comfy beds and plenty of room. Some thoughtful touches like having a library and keeping the guide books others have left was really helpful. Location was good for us. Not right in the centre but public transport is so good it was easy to get around. Apartment is not suitable for those with mobility issues due to steep stairs and no lift but we managed fine and we’re not exactly gazelles."

Friendly and useful staff, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, the cottage was spacious and clean, and supplied with sufficient equipment (including a recent dishwasher and quite comfortable beds). Only 20 minutes away from Amsterdam if you fancy a visit , but Volendam itself is definitely worth exploring. We highly recommend this place ."
