"This is a wonderful modern hotel. The room was great, great views. Friendly staff. An awesome wellness area. Great dinners and the breakfast was amazing. They will pick you up and take you to the train station for a fee. Easy to get there by taking the gondola to Furi and then a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Would love to go again!!"

"The rooms were comfy (though without individually controlled heating they can get a tad stuffy…. You can open the window by an interesting mechanism that I had to confirm with the staff), and the bathrooms were very nice and spacious for a European ski lodge. Free breakfast was great. One decisive feature that made me choose this hotel was its partially outdoor heated pool. Hot tub après ski is one of my big likes, and their pool, although not heated to jacuzzi temperatures, is still plenty warm...

"This Hotel is owned by the 5 Star Grand Hotel Zermatterhof and you have access to their facility at a cost. The Alpina does not have a Front Desk, so you must go to the 4 Star Hotel Tannenhof for Check In and such. Nice Affordable Hotel."

"Absolutely wonderful stay from the moment we checked in. The receptionist was extremely helpful! We had an amazing view of the Matterhorn from our room! Excellent breakfast. Great location! Our favorite hotel during our 3 week trip in Europe."

"Really nice and cozy alpine style hotel. Perfect location within a 3-min walk from the train station, ski bus, Gornergrat train, and the main street with all the shops and ski rental. Good breakfast selection, enough of healthy choices. Really enjoyed the sauna and hamam facilities, too."

"the spa is amazing and very nice breakfast. Overall , it's a very nice hotel to stay. but the service was a bit chaotic for us. we waited at the taxi station for more than 20 mins, no one came to pick us up, despite we called several times. we walked to the hotel with our luggages, the reception staff just explained that they were busy. I know you might be busy, but you could explain to me on the phone, or offer something alternative."

"This was the most perfect place for me and my husband to stay in Zermatt. Centrally located close to everything we wanted / needed. Hotel staff was so kind, helpful and courteous. Breakfast was delicious and keep us full long into the afternoon. We would not change 1 single thing about Hotel Jagerhof. "Where to begin!? Schwarzsee Hotel is amazing for skiers who travel across the continents with the mentality to enjoy the outdoors. This hotel is very convenient as it is a ski-in-and-out hotel. With the most amazing views of the Matterhorn and part of the Swiss Alps just out your window. The gondola is one minute walk and to embark further up in the mountains and all the way to Cervinia ski resort which lands in Italy!! The staff at the hotel are polite and helpful, the food is beyond delicious....

"This property is great and would have given it 5 stars but it literally requires you 'to hike' to get to the property from the street. Otherwise, it'll cost you a considerable amount of money via the Gornergrat Railway (15 USD every time). This adds up quickly if you decide to visit the town (to eat, shop and etc). Additionally, there is no laundry equipment (washing machine / dryer) available to tenants directly."

Fairy Tale Trip

"This was the most perfect place for me and my husband to stay in Zermatt. Centrally located close to everything we wanted / needed. Hotel staff was so kind, helpful and courteous. Breakfast was delicious and keep us full long into the afternoon. We would not change 1 single thing about Hotel Jagerhof. I am typically ready to go home after a week, but I was literally sad to leave this place. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our 1st trip to Zermatt a literal fairytale. "

You can open the window by an interesting mechanism that I had to confirm with the staff), and the bathrooms were very nice and spacious for a European ski lodge. Free breakfast was great. One decisive feature that made me choose this hotel was its partially outdoor heated pool. Hot tub après ski is one of my big likes, and their pool, although not heated to jacuzzi temperatures, is still plenty warm for enjoying an outdoor soak in snowy weather. Big sauna and steam room also in the spa. The whole spa closes early, so you can’t really use it for after dinner relaxation, but can treat yourself to a nice après ski indulgence after a day on the slopes."
