"A’Zambezi is luxury enhanced by being on the bank of the Zambezi River. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and especially the location: having wild animals routinely wondering through the grounds (we saw Kudu and Elephants!) and watching the Zambezi River from both the restaurant and the balconies of our rooms makes this one of the best places I have ever stayed. It is expensive but worth it, and we will definitely return. One very minor point was that one of our party bumped into the sprinklers in the thatch of the walkways behind the rooms: would be worth adding some signage or making them more obvious. "

"Great stay. Friendly and engaging staff, especially with our 10 yesr old. Comfortable rooms, though one of the two bedrooms had a much stronger A/C unit. Solid restaunrant and bar, though a little slow. Breakfast was not included with our booking and the price was much higher than I would have expected. Centrally located. Free shuttle to Victoria Falls every hour. The shuttle driver was the star of our stay."

"We were really looking forward to our stay here and the hotel delivered. Our room was gorgeous with a really gorgeous aesthetic that balanced Classic and modern design. Service was really nice and staff very friendly (especially Lauren at check in). We organised transfers through the hotel; and all of them turned up perfectly on time which really impressed me. My one criticism would be the Livingstone Room, it was marketed as a very high end restaurant, and the service was lovely indeed; but the food was quite mediocre and forgettable and many of the wines were unavailable. In addition, the vegetarian option was the same as what I ate the night before on the terrace which was disappointing. Nonetheless, the history and character of this hotel was exceptional and we had a truly lovely stay. "

"This is a hidden gem. Rooms are well appointed, beds are so comfy and shower is wonderful. I loved the size of the resort. It was very intimate so you were able to meet so many interesting people at the bar or by the pool. Our shuttle driver MacMillan was excellent and would go out of his way to help you get where you were going and would even check in with you around the resort. The reception booked all my excursions for me and were great in recommending the right options for my sunset cruise and helicopter ride. The food at the restaurant was very good and the staff friendly! I would stay here again and highly recommend. "
