"My second time in a year to the Lake District. Great Hotel and excellent rooms. My room was flooded with light and a big comfortable bed. Heating was great and the house keeping. The breakfasts are fantastic and certainly worth the indulgence. It’s located in a lovely village, with breweries, pubs, tea rooms and local craft shops. I highly recommend a stay. "

"The small uniqueness and ambience was perfect The only downside is the parking is not on site but public parking is not too far away."

"A great guest house in the heart of Ambleside with secure parking a two minute walk away. Room was excellent, very well decorated ad fitted out. ON-suite was good and the shower was super powerful. Tracey and Kevin were great, super friendly and breakfasst was top notch, loved the big fat cumberland sausage and the poached eggs were excellent. Would highly reccomend."

"Great as usual! We’ve been here several times but met a member of staff we had never met before. A lovely lady. So friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was great. We love it here."

"A beautiful setting however poor lighting in the car park made it difficult to find our lodge. Didn’t like the musty smell of the room and the reception lobby was quite drabby and dis not look clean. "

"Can't praise the staff enough, helpful, friendly, accomodating, and the room was lovely. We both had the full English breakfast which was superbly cooked and high quality, and check in was easy and convenient. The only downside was that the mattress was just too firm for both myself and my wife which lead to a quite uncomfortable nights sleep, the staff kindly offered to switch rooms however they all have the same mattress on the beds so this wouldn't have improved the situation, and we decided...
